I always thought she says "Come to Mama" in the song in like a mocking/ironic way, as if she's speaking to a naysayer or critic and she's kind of toying with them and whatnot. Sadly, when Father John Misty released his demo, I liked that one better. Yes, it's a little cheesy but that's the point of it. I don't like it for the same reasons I didn't like BTW (song) for a long time, of course I agree with the ideas she is writing about, but I just can't connect with most of these "unification/social love" songs.
