RinoTheBouncer 1
Over reacting much? I wasn't that disappointed. The video is beautiful, but it's not a video that I would watch every single day, like Judas. I was expecting something epic not just a one segment video with only dancing alone in the street. She could've at least thrown herself from the fire escape like her performance on American Idol. ...wow That's how I felt ... nothings funny about it. I just love to remember things in an artistic way ;)

Ashes 12
But Gaga didn't like that concept so she wanted to change it. When Joseph Kahn didn't agree she was left by herself. The video now was the concept SHE wanted, Joseph wanted to do the mermaid version because he had a hospital and bridge set ready. As far as I know, Gaga and Kahn had a beef (due to "artistic differences"), Kahn left, and Gaga didn't have much time, so she just went for a simple video and used the footage from one day of shooting. I don't think she initially had the intention to make the video that bland (considering the fact that the sets were already built).

I didn't mean to attack you for that hehe :) It's alright and thank you xD I love art, I make videos and photo edits and I guess I express myself that way xD Sometimes I just express my feelings in a poetic way which makes some feel that I'm exaggerating while it's just how I see it :)

ceminay 541
As far as I know, Gaga and Kahn had a beef (due to "artistic differences"), Kahn left, and Gaga didn't have much time, so she just went for a simple video and used the footage from one day of shooting. I don't think she initially had the intention to make the video that bland (considering the fact that the sets were already built). Jeff confirmed she didn't like the concept and wanted a different one. Kahn didn't agree and she was left with the Haus to make the video. If she had more time and more people she could have made a better version. The idea of the video is actually meaningful, but it didn't work out. Chezza 1
I liked it and still do, sure not much happens but thats the way music videos where back in the day and nobody bothered. Plus the best part is when her wig is all messy at the end omg.
Kennyt 0
That song was at #3 Billboard and stayed so long in top10 I think people (including who are not her fans) like it. The Mermaid-operation idea should have boosted it to #1. If only she was not on the edgeeee of fire escape. :flopmaid: + I hate this video. Biggest flaw of the era. Lord Axel 558
TEOG is the best song of the album, it could've got to #1 with a proper video... Altough I think it's one of her worst videos, it's really special to me (and to other fans too I guess) because of Clarence. I look at it now in a very different way, it has a total new meaning. thisthisthis ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴏʟᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱɪʟᴠᴇʀ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ϟ†▽✰𝒿 ~
