Tera 2
MTN- I liked it, the production is cool. I thought the lyrics were a little too simplistic but the production and the way she sung it made me quickly fall in love with it BTW-I loved the intro and loved the production overall, but I thought the bridge was just a little too cheesy at first. It took me three or four listens to really get into it but now it's my favorite on the whole album GH-I really liked the beat, I thought it was a really cool song! Judas-I was kind of shocked. As soon as I pressed play I was hearing Bad Romance, but once the first verse came in and then the chorus I could see that this song was very unique and catchy. The bridge was a complete Gagasm of coarse, but then after that it just sounded way too bad romance-ish, and the demon I cling to part was a little creepy. Americano-I wasn't very impressed with the lyrics but I liked the production and the outro was pretty cool. Hair- I hated it. The bridge was too cheesy for me. I was against this song and insisted it was the worst on the album for a while before I actually got into it. Scheisse- The production was cool and I liked the chorus. I wished it was a little less repetitive and simplistic Bloody Mary- I loved the production and I liked how poetic and dark the song is Black Jesus- I really liked it alot but this was the one song that I could really see some Madonna influences. I still liked it though because Gaga makes it all her own Heavy Metal Lover- Very cool song! It was very well done Bad Kids-The chorus was a let down but I still found a way to appreciate it Fashion of His Love- My original favorite on the album. I thought it was fantastic Electric Chapel- Surprisingly boring, but I still liked it The Queen- I loved this song You & I- Loved it from the beginning but I thought this would be a huge turnoff for all the casual listeners since it's so Rock oriented, coming from the girl everyone associated with electronic/dance/pop. The Edge of Glory- I thought it was catchy and fun but it wasn't what I expected at all
MelbHawker 6,583
Marry The Night. I was so happy with Marry The Night - it was like an 80's Pop flashback (so much Springsteen/Whitney/Flashdance influence). I loved the chorus. And I LOVED the last chorus where 'night' echos.. it's so anthemic it's just climatic! The outro is the best on the album - by far my favourite GaGa song. Born This Way. I remember all the Plagiarism accusations. I wasn't crazy about the song.. I thought it had a good beat, the message was epic. Government Hooker. After loving the Mugler Version.. I was surprised and disappointed by how slow this song ended up being. I like it now though - prefer it faster. I remember loving the chorus. It was a throwback to 'You Spin Me Right Round baby, Right round, Like a record baby etc.' Hated the 'as long as Im your hooker' parts. Pointless. Judas. Shocked. But slayed by the chorus + breakdown. Americano. Disapointed. It grew on me though. Hair. I was disappointed b/c I thought it was a hot mess.. acoustic would've been heaps better! Scheibe. I remember loving the first verse. I just thought it was cool! That chorus!!!!!!! Bloody Mary. Loved. I loved it so much... the chorus, the grunge feel it had! Bad Kids. Loved the verses... when the chorus hit I nearly died because I hated it. It was just... too much, too nostalgic. It didn't feel right. Highway Unicorn. I immediately determined it was a filler. And to this day I still feel that way. I just don't like it. Heavy Metal Lover. I remember falling instantly in love with it. It was like I'd known this song forever, it just struck me that deep. I was addicted to the chorus! Addicted. Electric Chapel. I loved it. So So much. The 'Follow me, don't be such a holy fool.. Follow me I need something more from you' lines I remember feeling like it was so badass! You+I. At first I was like.. Y NO PIANO. But I loved it and remember appreciating the change from all the horrid noise (HU etc.). Edge of Glory. I thought it was a beautiful song.. and the ending where she screams 'Im on the Edge with You, with You, with You, with You, with You' I was just so happy listening to it! It was the perfect way to end the album!
Tommy Monster 809
So my first reactions in entire honesty: 1.MTN- The beginning was so cool, but the chorus killed it all- dissapointed 2.BTW- OMG, this is not Gaga! but the song grew up on me after the second time :) 3.GH- why is it so slow??? why is the drink my tears tonight part there only twice???- but the second best song from album 4.Judas- perfect, chills, I screamed :D :D 5.Americano- fulfilled my expectations 6.Hair- OMG, second edge of glory, again not Gaga, but it´s nice :) 7.Scheisse- the chorus took my breath away- literally 8.Bloody Mary- I expected the chorus to explode in the song, but it kinda didnt happen, but still one of my favs :) 9.Bad kids- at first, omg, 80ties song, absolutely bad, but again grew up on me :) 10.HU- fine, but missing the last chorus 11.HML- hm, ehm, nothing that good.... "I could be your girl girl girl..." OMG, This is great!!!! :) 12.EC- dissapointed as hell, but the last chorus is a killer!!! Love her soft voice :) 13.You and I- fine, hm, good song 14.Teog- this is not her, I was expecting a masterpiece, this is not one... but I love that song :) None of these songs was better than TFM album, but still I love all of the songs now :)
Miracle 14,068
BTW: It sounds so disco!!! Judas: it looks like Scheisse (the break) TEOG: It's dance and it's ****ing amazing Hair: cool but too pop MTN: ****ing amazing Government Hooker: Ay mi papito surprised me haha The other songs.. I don't remember but it was a glorious day
AmenTheNight 1,079
Marry The Night : I was really underwhelmed. I expected it to go harder and faster. I felt the epicness, but it was definitly not strong enough. It grew on me ! Born This Way : LOVED IT. It felt like a "light Dance In The Dark" for me. I still like it, but not as much now. Government Hooker : After being previewed on Mugler, I was sooo enthusiastic. It was such a letdown : too slow, not going hard enough or fast enough. Not rude enough, not "rock" enough ... However, the BTWBall version that just leaked is EVERYTHING. I want that Live Studio Version  Judas : I died for 4:10 minutes. LOVED IT. I still love it, but the huge similarities with Bad Romance irritate me. Americano : Wow, such a letdown. It grew on me, but not that much. I was expecting something as iconic as "La Isla Bonita". I had too high expectations. Hair : I liked it, but it didn't sound new to me. It was the 4rth song released, after Born This Way, Judas and The Edge Of Glory, and I thought it sounded like a weak little brother of Born This Way & The Edge. Good, but not amazing. Scheisse : The biggest surprise of the album for me. I wasn't expecting much of it because of the mugler preview, I was a fool to think so. I was amazed. Bloody Mary : I was SO surprised, because I thought its instrumental was supposed to be Bad Kids'. Second biggest surprise, I loved it. Amen Fashion + Black Jesus : I liked it, but I was embarassed since I thought it sounded just like "Vogue" ... Bad Kids : The intro slayed me. The first verse too. Once I heard the chorus, I was DISGUSTED. A shame, her weakest song ever. Fashion Of His Love : Boring. Highway Unicorn : I liked it, but it wasn't enough to impress me. Since the time I played this song, I wanted to hear it LIVE. I'm anticipating the BTWBall right now ^^ Heavy Metal Lover : I expected a dull and bad song. I was terribly wrong. Loved it so much. Electric Chapel : LOVED IT. In fact, the chorus is what makes this song so special for me. #UnpopularOpinion The Queen : I don't remember well. I'm sure I hated it, but now, I like it. Maybe more than Americano or Hair. Yoü and I : I didn't care about it. I like it now, its video made it very special. Since I love philosophy, I can see many meaning behind it ! The Edge Of Glory : It had a huge impact on me. In fact, the exact day she released it, my girlfriend left me. And, thanks to this song, I remember feeling happier than ever, even though I loved her more than I loved myself. This song kind of "protected" me. Hot Space 14
I'll post a few because I honestly can't remember them all BTW: I heard it in the car for the first time and I couldn't believe how fast it was. She really surprised us with this one, I think. Judas: Heard it on the radio when it leaked and didn't like the chorus very much. Thought it sounded more like a "Gaga" song. MTN: Fell in love with the chorus. One of my initial favourites. Bloody Mary: Loved the beginning. Another favourite of mine right off the bat. TEOG: Thought the beginning with the tribal noises was weird, but the rest was okay. I thought it was the weakest out of the ones that were released so far. Hair: Thought it sounded like Hannah Montana. Love it now, though. Black Jesus: Reminded me so much of Madonna.

ChasingTheGhost 2
Marry The Night. I thought it was pretty epic for farmville. Born This Way. I... liked the bridge. Government Hooker. I pretty much was dying on how brilliant it was. First song i went to when the album leaked. still my favorite. Judas. Amazed yet depressed. I had a breakup the week the song leaked so that song killed me. Yet i loved how hard it sound. Americano. Sounded like something from Quentin Tarantino and Tim Burton. I loved it. Hair. I hated it. Scheibe. I was in a 3 minute heaven. Bloody Mary. Oh I was IN LOVE. First time I heard it it reminded me of NIN and Evanescence. When she screamed i had an orgasm. Bad Kids. I loved the start off.... then I hated the rest. Horrible. Highway Unicorn. I can't really remember. I think I was on a high. Heavy Metal Lover. "the ****, what does this have to do with metal?" Shh, it's my 2nd favorite. Electric Chapel. It's perfect. Seemed like my type of song. You + I. We heard this on Oprah, we can careless. Edge of Glory. I didn't know what to think. It was so hyped up and I was extremely disappointed. It took a while for me to get into it.
Chic 20,830
GH: Liked Americano: Loved Schieße: Loved the intro, disliked the rest Bloody Mary: Loved Everything else I hated Seriously, I hated every other song Every song except FOHL grew on me, so now I love them all except poor FOHL
Bamboo 8
11. Heavy Metal Lover Recognized the instrumental for GGV. Hated it. Vocals sounded so LQ. The entire song itself sounded so weak. Couldn't believe that Gaga actually said that all the songs on the album were "single-worthy". To me, it was a filler. Consequences are in order
Crash 11
I can only remember a few, I thought: Judas & Americano had too many things happening, it was overwhelming, but I love them now BTW was simple and got it's point across Her voice slayed in TEOG I couldn't get over the "I want lots of friends who invite me to their parties" line in Hair I immediately got hooked on "Dirty pony I can't wait to hose you down" in HML. Didn't appreciate the full song until later. It's now my fave song on BTW Scheisse: Wtf is she saying, must.learn.every.word
Phlop 4,773
Scheisse Mugler: Thought this was the sound of the album and really hyped things up for me. It reached 300-ish plays on my itunes at some point. Born This Way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6h1d6B67Sw I was literally in tears. Everything we waited for. I loved it, and was not at all disappointed. Government Hooker Mugler: *** POPPIN. I thought this was probably going to be the best song on the album. I even requested they play this at my school's fashion show. Judas: was at some point my favorite song ever. It reached abysmal playcounts on my itunes, and the music video slayed me. However, now I realize that I don't like the song as much as I used to. Americano (live) I was SLAIN. It was so LOUD, passionate, and dark. It was kinda sad hearing it live when she first debuted it in Mexico. The Edge of Glory:before the album release I knew this was going to be my favorite track. And when it was finally released, my predictions were true. To this day I sometmes cry in the jazz breakdown. I can honestly say this is Gaga's best song ever. Hair: When it was released I thought it was cute, didnt think much of it. Until I saw it live (as in, in person at GMA) I didnt think much of it. It became one of my favorite songs and one of the songs I relate most to, since I was always that kid in school changing his hair (and still do, I'm even going to beauty school). Marry The Night (zedd snippet): beautiful Marry The Night (leak): it was my favorite song right after TEOG. I can probably say the same thing now. Government Hooker: I was actually disappointed with the album version. I thought it was going to be faster. But I still find it catchy and really dark. Americano: I thought it was one of the strongest songs when the album first came out. But now I find myself skipping it. Scheisse: Wasn't crazy about it at first listen tbh. I wasn't expecting it to be about female equility. But now its my 2nd most played song. Bloody Mary: didnt like it. Thought it was boring and pretentious. I appreciate it a lot now, but still not one of my favorites. Black Jesus: hated it. Still think its somewhat filler, but the remix made me like the song more. Bad Kids: Thought it was the worst song tbh. It stepped up a little, but its still on the lower end for me. Fashion Of His Love: thought it was cute, but now I think its ****. Highway Unicorn: One of my favorites since it was released. Anthem of love and peace. Heavy Metal Lover: REALLY didnt like it at first. But now I wish it was a single. :( Its so damn catchy, futuristic, and epic. Electric Chapel: EVERYONE loved this song at first, it even trended. But then it kinda faded and then everyone hated it. However, I cant seem to skip it because the GUITAR. The Queen: classy. Its just so stunning. You and I: I loved it during the Monster Ball. But the album version was too country for me. But it didnt bug me until it became a single. I dont think it should have been a single tbh, only because the song was already a year old within the fanbase. Deacon 5
I loved or at least enjoyed every standard track, but HATED the bonus tracks. I've warmed up to those, though.
X Dreams 94
1. Marry the Night: I was never too crazy about this song, even when it was being hyped pre-release. I listened to it in Farmville and didn't think it was that great, even though I LOVED the breakdown at the end. I still think that the breakdown is one of the highlights of the album... I really wish the whole song were like that. I like the song much more now than when it was first released, and I was psyched when it became a single. Too bad it didn't do that well. :/ 2. Born This Way: I thought it was definitely weird, but I couldn't stop listening to it because it was new Gaga material. I then grew to love it but now it's one of the songs I play less when I listen to Gaga. 3. Government Hooker: I thought it was awesome. The slower beat compared to the remix caught me by surprise, but I still thought that it was really catchy and the instrumental is amazing. I play it must less now than before though. 4. Judas: I could not stop listening to this song. I love everything about it still to this day. Sad that it didn't become a complete smash. I really enjoy the instrumental, it sounds unique to me. I never skip this song. 5. Americano: I was really excited about this song, and it was a huge letdown when I heard it. The instrumental is amazing and really well done, but the vocals make my ears bleed. It sounds like she's yelling at you. 6. Hair: When it was released as a promo, I honestly didn't like it that much. The only part I really enjoyed was the breakdown. But now I enjoy the song a lot more, mainly because I love its instrumental and it has a great message. One of my more played songs these days. 7. Scheisse: I know a LOT of people have said this, but if there was a definition of an eargasm, this would be it. From the beginning to end, I felt like I was in heaven when I first heard this song. I sort of wish that it wasn't a feminist song so I wouldn't seem like a queer if I showed it to my friends. The beat is AMAZING in this song. I think it's the best out of any of her songs. I like the lyrics and the chorus is amazing as many others have said. I personally don't think the song is overrated - it gets the praise it deserves. I think it will smash as a single. 8. Bloody Mary: I was shocked by this song because I did not know what to expect. Huge props to Gaga for making a fairly catchy song with a unique beat to it. It's the first song of its kind I've ever heard. 9. Black Jesus Amen Fashion: Hated it first listen. But I've grown to appreciate it. 10. Bad Kids: This is an unpopular opinion, but I loved Bad Kids when I first heard it. The message really touched me. I actually don't like the instrumental of this song that much, but the lyrics impressed me, especially the verses. I really enjoy the bridge also. I think the criticism for this song really pointed out its flaws to me, so I listen to it less now, but I still enjoy it more than most it seems. 11. Fashion of His Love: I hated it on first listen, and I still skip it every time to this day. 12. Highway Union (Road to Love): Wasn't sure what to expect of this song. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. It sounds very different, which I like. But it's not really my type of sound at all. When I first heard it I was just kinda confused because it was such an unusual mix of genres. 13. Heavy Metal Lover: Didn't really see what the big deal was with this song. I didn't really like it first listen and didn't like how it was hardly catchy and the instrumental was just weird to me. I really appreciate the song now though. As for a single choice, I'm sort of confused as to why people think it will be a good one. 14. Electric Chapel: Also didn't really like this song at first mainly because the instrumental seemed really loud. But I have also learned to appreciate this song. It's definitely unique. 15. The Queen: Hated the song at first and used to skip it all the time. Now it's one of the tracks I listen to more often. 16. You and I: Hated it at first, but grew to like it a lot more when it became a single. 17. The Edge of Glory: Thought it was generic when I first heard it as a radio stream, but it grew on me FAST. The sax solo made me lose my breath when I first heard it. Definitely one of my most favorite songs now in general.
MelbHawker 6,583
So much hate for MTN in this thread - There shall be massive punishment for all those who dis it. Massive punishment. Same with those who hate on The Edge Of Glory. Were you expecting God to appear in human form in this album? Or.. because Edge Of Glory was .. the closest thing to that tbh. Shame on you all. 1. Marry The Night I was quite disappointed with this song. When she revealed the title through an interview with Seacrest, and said that it was "one of her favourites" from the album, I got my hopes high. In fact, I thought her choice of words for the title was plain genius. On my first listen (on Farmville), I was only impressed with the first 38 seconds. Beyond that, I hated it. Beats sound too '80s, chorus hurts my ears, and sick of the fact that she's pulling another "Ma-ma-ma-marry" like "Ale-alejandro" or "P-p-p-p-p-poker face". I felt the instrumental after 3:30 didn't fit the song, completely; but ever since the single dropped, that part was the sole reason why I replayed the entire song like mad. 14. The Edge of Glory Read about this from articles. Loved the title. Loved the concept. HATED THE INSTRUMENTALS. The two drum kicks at the front didn't sound like a heartbeat at all. Overall instrumental sounded very horrible. I hated the synths. I hated it all. Worst song on the album at first listen, TBQH. Sex solo and her vocals were spot on, but it didn't do any justice to the instrumental because the damage was already so horrid. Hate the snares. Hate the hihats. There's just so much hate. Couldn't choose which one to hate more, Bad Kids, or EOG.
