courtneylove 171 Posted August 19, 2017 Share Posted August 19, 2017 I'm really nervous for her about this new era. Dead Petz was awful in my opinion unless you are a stoner. I liked Bangerz when it was released and not going to lie was still listening to it for a good two years after it came out but grew tired of it and just realized how much she was appropriating black culture. I don't know. This era just seems a little boring to me. Anyone else notice she doesn't even have any explicit songs on the album? Not that no profanity is a deal-breaker but it's just weird coming from her. I've never known her to pass up cursing all over her recent songs (see BB Talk or whatever it was called). Yes, the concept of age shouldn't restrict us so much, but I draw a line when it comes to young/old romantic interactions and sexual expression among the elderly. That's when it can get a bit exploitative and turn your stomach. Past a certain age, you just need to keep that stuff private. I don't think it's respectful to have such relations with a much older person. It's like you're taking advantage of their age and frailty for shock value, which I don't think is right. I want the elderly to have dignity, not be sexualised for shock value especially when their bodies and hearts are frailer and weaker and they can't take as much physically as a young person.
