He used it in songs (including Justin Bieber songs) before it was in Gaga's. I am glad I am not the only one hearing those weird monkey scream sounds in the songs. The same similar sounds are in The Cure. It isn't a bad song by any means, but it sounds no different from Sorry. It sounds entirely too similar to The Cure too. I get musical producers having styles, and some are similar, but this sounds like everything else he has released since his last album. I enjoy the song, sure. Guest
It's boring, not even boring, it's so insiginicant that it's not even boring, it's nothing, that's even worse, it has zero personality. It's like biting into the same burger and spitting it out, offering to the world a wet chewy burger that the world has bitten into countless times. Show us something different!!!! StrawberryBlond 14,900
It's better than the singles on his last album but considering that entire album was mediocre and apart from Company, all the singles he released were awful, that's really not saying much. How he could get hits with the worst songs on his album is infuriating when you have outstanding artists who can't even get top 40 with masterpieces. His choruses are so boring, he just doesn't even try. The verses are a little interesting but they're let down by a weak chorus. He just sounds disinterested in every song he puts out as well. It's like a stroppy teenager having to do an oral report forced on him by his teacher. As expected, however, it's slaying on the charts. If he goes to #1 with this, it'll be his third consecutive #1 (he just had 2 features go to #1 back to back). I don't know if the same artist has ever been featured on 3 back to back #1's but if he does...his overexposure will actually be offensive. He took a big break from massive hits between Believe and Purpose but he's more than made up for his break now and he's just taken it too far. Why bother doing all those features if he was going to put out new material so soon? He risks overlap that way and he can't risk his features overshadowing his solo work. But this could totally be the beginning of another downfall for him. The public won't stand for further overexposure. They'll be sick at the sound of his voice and name. Build em up to bring em down and all that. On 8/17/2017 at 5:17 PM, gagagoogoose said: Radio will swallow this up and spin it along with 4 other JB songs over and over and over and over again That's the worst part. They won't simply let this song be a hit, they'll bring back his previous hits that he had 1.5 years ago and keep them all going on a rota. It infuriates me how females rarely get this treatment. They're allowed their one hit but woe betide them to get several. Pink just came back from a long break and her lead was doing well but now its been massively undercut and she's down to #7 in the US. Rihanna was also approaching the opportunity to be the first female to be featured on a #1 this year but now that a lead Justin single's out and Despacito's been reduced to celebrate, it doesn't look like that's ever going to happen. It's like the music industry's raison d'etre right now is to keep male artists on top. If a female starts gaining traction, stop her by discounting the current hit, put out a new DJ track with a big male name, put out a male rapper's track with several male features on it...it's disgraceful. The way things are going, no female will have a #1 this year, not even as part of a feature. And that has never happened in Billboard history, not even in the super sexist 50's and 60's. That's how bad it is for females in the industry right now.
