That is not my answer. This thread is a mess. Bye You posted 'Excuse Me No' to a lot of posts that called out Left Wing Extremism and just wanted peace. As Americans, we can not have a mini civil war between our citizens and need to call out violence and hate groups on every side. Do you want to see dead people? a mini civil war? this is how you start it.. And those people are destroying property of people that has no connetion to the KKK or the nazis.. They destroy shops and cars and many other things of people that maybe are left too.. And how often do we see that happen? What can we do to prevent it? There's no discussion about these groups and how we move forward. That's another problem I have here. It's just pointing out that there's leftists that are extreme just because we can't have only right wing people being crazy. If these people don't know why they are protesting, then why do we call them leftists? Do they vote? The issue is that we need to get rid of the Nazis, KKK, racism, homophobia, etc. And we wonder why people have had enough.

You don't see right-wing protests get like this," Cvjetanovic told CNN affiliate KRNV. by "different political ideology" he probably meant being a racist, sexist, xeno- and homophobic i don't agree with left-extremism but at least they don't hate you because you are black, hispanic, gay, trans and/or female. "just as dangerous, if not more dangerous than the right wing could ever be." idk but pretty sure the death toll of right-wing extremism is a lot higher than left-wing extremism. The same group that cries that some members here are silent on certain subjects will make a mockery of your thread and post nothing of substance. Violence on both sides should not be tolerated. Literally just did. Why are you assuming about members crying and making a mockery? We're having a discussion here... And even if it's heated, you don't have to go to low blows and start bringing up random points to attack and assume that people can't have substantial points to bring to @Gaga Monster's thread. It's a good thing we're having conversation, but I believe that the discussion needs to take place at a much higher level where it would lead to prosecution of extremists. And that currently isn't happening. How many Nazis in this country have been arrested vs the number for breaking a window? Windows and cars can be replaced. Equity is what you seem to want here. So let's get these people arrested and treated. But let's do it so we aren't protecting one's freedom of speech vs criminalizing the other side because they're explicitly breaking something. Unlike the other who are protected with privilege and a history of getting what they want.
lego 44,165
There are neonazis like Gorka and Bannon in the White House and people wonder why groups like Antifa exist. 🤔 Also it's interesting how they're all generalized as violent. 🤔 FreePalestine

Reginald 13,843
Antifa is chaotic good. Violence might not be the best solution, but at least Nazi's, supremacists, and KKK members have something to legitimately feel worried and in fear of. The government certainly isn't going to hold hate mongerers accountable for their actions, I support these private citizens who are brave enough to fight for what's right. Look at the pictures I posted and look at there violent protests on YouTube. We need to say no to violence and protest peacefully. How can you defend violence? What has happened to our country when its own citizens are destroying what we built? These people don't fight 'any person'. They fight neo-nazis, fascists, racists, terrorists, and basically anyone else who is a threat to humanity under those categories. Plus, the violence and destruction they cause is only destruction of private property owned by the rich and elite. That's how they make their statements. My personal favourite is when they burned down a parked Limousine. Limo's are seen as carriers for the rich. There's not a better statement than that. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111

There's a couple of points you brought up: Are we really going to compare ISIS to a group of anti-facists just because they choose to be reckless? Negativity and hate aren't always the same thing. The problem here is that ANTIFA wouldn't exist if the USA didn't continue to tolerate racist, homophobic, etc behavior. A solution to get rid of ANTIFA is to get rid of those other rhetorics. Another problem, not something you addressed, is that people seem to want to bring ANTIFA up because it'll make them feel better that there are problems on "many sides". However, I don't want to compare them. Are we really going to compare a history of racism, institutionalized hate in our social, political and economical state vs people who stand against that by mere violence of destruction of property? I just feel uncomfortable comparing the two even though both have/should have criminal consequences. NOT defending either. Furthermore, the discussion cannot be about how the groups of the same. They aren't. They can't be judged the same. They can't be connected in ideology. They can't be considered the same through their goals. I do have a problem with them though. Because they're taking away the discussion of what we need to do about KKK members. And instead we're now talking about how everyone is the same. That is not the case. The problem is that people are seeking to find an issue on both sides and making it seem like ANTIFA is actually going to influence people like the KKK and actual racism, homophobia. ANTIFA is a short term goal group. They don't operate like the KKK/Nazis. and I wish people could learn to analyze that. Yes, we should denounce both groups. But let's stop acting as if both have power. The KKK has power and will be denounced by half the population. The ANTIFA don't and will be denounced by almost everyone because many think that destroying a car is worse that institutionalized racism. One is visual and can be blasted on Instagram while the other has been hiding in the shadows for centuries and continues to do real harm.
DontDoubtDavid 1,196
This is what happens when one extreme comes about: the opposite extreme emerges as opposition. Petrichor 4,640
I don't know the OP's political affiliation, but I have to say the title of this thread is in extremely bad taste. ANTIFA is not an extremist organization; they're a protest group that occasionally smashes property. Not that I agree with that tactic, or the destruction of any property, but to ****ing throw an activist group in the same mix as conservative terrorist organizations such as neo-nazis, or white supremacists, or any extremist group in general, such as ISIS, is quite frankly moronic and irresponsible. By labeling them as 'extremist,' you're only feeding the flame of the right's irresponsible and false rhetoric that liberal violence is on the rise. ANTIFA protests injustices in our society, but the right's narrative incites an irrational, violent response against these groups.
