I mean, other artists with terrific visuals AND music are miles ahead of.... what Poppy is doing. And they aren't committing to a character as hard as Poppy. So I'm not sure why there's such a disconnect with her product and presentation. Melanie Martinez has her shtick and has a complexity to it. Allie X utilized "mind control" themes better and more proficiently, in a video for a song that's actually decent and worth listening/watching. It can be done. There's no originality in the character she's trying to be, all is stolen...
