Why is Gaga's tour merch pretty lame?

Considering she puts so much time, effort, passion and focus into her tours and makes the whole experience utterly spectacular, I find it strange that her tour merch is so... crap. Like many people here have pointed out, it's ludicrous for Gaga's team to expect us to pay $100 for a hoodie with a square image on it.

The BTW Ball merch was probably her best, as the designs were really cool, the images filled most of the t-shirt or hoodie, and they had a real classic 'tour merch' aesthetic. But for the artRAVE and Joanne World Tour, the merch is just bad. I get that it's just a quick buck for her team, but it's a bit insulting to charge those prices for something her fans could make themselves on Zazzle.com in three minutes.

I don't mind too much, because every other aspect of the tours is worth the money, but I would love to buy some merch to treasure forever and I just refuse to when it looks like a copy and paste job.

Is anyone else disappointed with it or am I just expecting too much?

no ur not expecting too much the stuff I saw at TMB was so much better this is just pure ****.  Simple as that.  If I happen to go to JWT which I don't have tix to you bet im not spendng money on that.

Also, all can be forgiven if her team releases a bomb ass tour program/book that includes promo pics, tour pics, interlude pics, etc.

There are tour programs?

I know other tours had better merchandise, but I'm definitely going to buy the Rhino-Gaga shirt at my concert date.I hope there also will be a tourbook by the time my concert date takes place.

It's simple. That's my point. Many people don't want anything flashy or elaborate. It fits with the aesthetic of the album.

Then they shouldn't. This isn't difficult. If you like it, buy it. If you don't, don't.

Eh, idk. You'd be surprised by how much people waste on food, drinks and merch when it's thrown at the crowd's face at concerts and such. And it's not like Gaga's merch is THAT bad. It's not super exciting, but it gets the job done: selling to the crowds.

It's pretty lame like just about every other aspect of joannega. No one knows why she's doing this.

Thank God the show is hot. At least we can see she's still alive in there.

Thats why I made myself a cute lil shirt. It's also basic, but I prefer it to the original merch. :giggle:
