Why is everyone saying Christianity? It says religion broadly. There's so much beautiful fashion inspired by other faiths around the world. If this is the theme, nobody better **** this up because this is incredibly easy. Also if someone just has a metallic cocktail dress and a tiny lil cross necklace I'm outta here.

Dude.... this event is mostly attended by white Christian gals, who do you think will have the balls to tackle other religions? I'd be all for it, but we know it's not gonna happen.

Because of the social climate today. Do you really think people will have the balls to wear a muslim inspired outfit? They can get away with Christianity somehow, or even budhism or hinduism. But then Coldplay got flak for that Hymn for the Weekend.

But there are stars who aren't white or Christian who could represent. Priyanka Chopra, for example. I don't know her faith, but she comes from a culture where Christianity is not the all in all majority and could thus respectfully wear something of another faith as I'm sure she'd have some semblance of a clue how to do so (if she wanted to). Plus, with all the celebrities that love Rumi's poetry I'm sure there's some way it could be incorporated without just plastering the Buddha's face on your breast like Gaga did with the McQueen outfit at the VMAs (though that wasn't a problem obviously).

Coldplay got flak because Beyonce is a black woman and they're white dudes, they have no connection to the culture whatsoever nor did they represent it well. It was honest to god used as a costume and prop as it had NOTHING to do with the song. It was purely for the visuals. You could have a designer of a faith make an outfit that is both respectful to the faith and of it like what Rihanna did with her Chinese themed outfit a few years back. There's a way to embrace cultures it just has to be genuine. Coldplay danced in colored paint clouds in India and literally just appropriated Holi into a party lol I think there's other ways to represent a culture without jocking it and representing it ignorantly.

Well people like selala Gomez will arrive in a cute prom dress and Kylie Jenner will wear some glitterish nude colored thing

Gaga will either arrive like a giant unproportional ball by Brandon Maxwell or arrive as Alejandro nun meets born this way maleficent with a cross facemask

It doesn't matter tbh, most of their guests will wear basic cocktail dress anyway like always.

But those who always follow the theme, like Rihanna and Gaga, are always interesting to see. :)
