Reacts to release of Perfect Illusion" -"Album leaks" -"Album Release Party" There's definitely a doc coming this time, it's just a matter of when. We've never gotten a blatant sign of one coming like this when it was the topic of the ARTPOP/ BTWB doc (Gaga mentioned this what like once???). But, since we've got a concrete date even though it's through the tabloid which everyone is referencing, I think the hack affected many more HBO features than just GofT. I'm beginning to suspect that the footage the hackers got their hands on might contain her documentary as well. In that case, I'm just hoping it is all edited and ready to go. I will say, as someone who works for a major cable television network, it is unusual HBO's not promoting it yet (if it is happening). We start promoting A-level series about 3 months out (starting with a tease). B-level series get 6 weeks of promotion in the campaign before launch, and then C-level series get 2 weeks. Lemonade was announced a week prior to the premiere. The last HBO documentary (the Defiant Ones) was announced 2 months before it aired so who knows...If not announced this week then it's probably pushed back or freaking cancelled.
