MSG company is locking artists out of playing at Madison Square Garden in NYC if they play AEG's Staples Center in LA. It's become all about turf. Saw Rihanna and Ellie at Viejas Arena in SD. So far I liked Staples better than Viejas because Viejas kind of has a cheaper feel with the bleachers. They both hold almost the same capacity and the arena was very full (source: I was there) so there's no reason to suggest that Gaga can't fill out STAPLES, not to mention the fact that she sold out two August nights for The Forum. Hopefully the new SeaPort Arena comes into fruition so SD can have a modern arena and bring in more artists. I hate traveling to LA to see some of my faves in concert. I live in Huntington Beach & both the Forum & Staples are a drive so I don't really mind. I just hope she plays Honda Center next tour, it's so close by!
