She was more of an entertainer before and it probably bothered her that she wasn't taken seriously. But I don't think she embodies the true spirit of an artist or knows how to be one. If she comes back with long hair, nice bops trendy with meaning (like CTTR), a good aesthetic and a good marketing strategy, she'll get hits again. She didn't damage her brand so badly imo.
