I think it depends on the promotion served for the single. Like if Dancin' in Circles was performed at the Grammys and Brits, served with a visually satisfying video, it would done well I think.

I personally wish The Cure would have been ready instead because THAT would have been a good Super Bowl song and could have filled the ballad segment if she wanted without losing momentum (if we're talking about swapping). No, it isn't a ballad, but it's a very sweet, heartfelt song that still slows things down a bit and plus think if that was the premiere performance. She was so happy at Coachella. Imagine seeing that joy on her face again but for such a widely watched performance like the Super Bowl. Plus, I think it would have done well to contextualize her current music with her past hits since she has a little trouble with that since Joanne is so different from the rest of her catalog.

Don't understand the hype for dic in this fanbase, the songs with most single potential from the pasta year: MR>TC>A-YO>JW>>>DIC

Pushing MR was a obvious choice, if radios werent so hesitating for MR after the PI fiasco and it got on more spotify playlists it would easily gone top 10 without sb and 1 with it. It was loved by the gp and critics and were a sales force even before sb.
