I think that there could be a JWT 2.0

Spoiler

Maybe that's why I'm still trying to process this tour

I don't know whats more annoying ; These "Joanne" era fans or the infamous  RadioARTPOP fans. People paid for more of what they saw at the Superbowl...which is a classic Lady Gaga show. Please sthu  . :awkney:

No, I won't elaborate. I just told you.

No I think the Joanne World Tour is beautiful as a name.  Her lovely aunt died too young, she never got to travel and see the world or even have hot sex, by naming the tour after her she's letting her travel the world too ("see the world with me" - Gypsy)...I think it's such a beautiful sentiment that honours her spirit.  She begins the show by "becoming Joanne" and putting her Joanne hat on, but singing about herself in Diamond Heart...there's a really interesting and beautiful mix of both her and her aunt Joanne......she travels across the audience performing her most "Gagaish" songs like BTW and Applause, while wearing an old fashioned floral/tulle dress that could very much be what Joanne was into (remember the floral shorts she used to wear that belonged to her?)....then she wears a dress designed by her very own blood sister for the song about Joanne, honouring 2 important female figures in her life in a very Gaga way, in front of thousands...I bet Tony and Cynthia were in tears watching that....and then she leaves the stage by taking her hat off which can be interpreted differently I guess, but to me, it's like she no longer needs to separate Joanne, Gaga or Stefani, she's found peace within herself, her fame and her family.

Ok, what is this ? OMG, this whole text is soooo pretentious, it feels like Gaga declares herself as Modern Mozart with side social influences :deadbanana:

Ps: Don't come for me, I was pretty young when ARTPOP was released. :spin:

That was the picture that announced the era. We all lost our shit at it. But yeah it's pretty ridiculous looking at it now :laughga:

That was way back during the album release.

Well no one's complaining about the show I'm just talking about the title

Let me tell you what's more annoying: people who jump to conclusion before reading the OP. I said multiple times that the tour is perfect and wouldn't change a thing. I'm just talking about how the title doesn't match the show.

That's actually so sweet :kara: it makes lots of sense.

REALITY

I think the name is fine, tours are usually named after the album so I don't see a reason for her to change that.

As for the whole aesthetics of the tour and stuff, I feel like it's fine. Joanne's an interesting era, in terms of the aesthetics and whatnot, while it's clear that stuff like the pink hat and the pink suit and more "calmer," "toned-down" stuff is apart of Joanne, I feel like as the era progressed the fashion and the whole feel of the era became more ambiguous.

During the beginning of the era, she was very consistent with what she wore and how she presented the era, but I feel like as the months have gone by, she's slowly started to revert back to "Old Gaga" in terms of her fashion, I don't know, it's just something I've noticed.

Why can’t you guys accept that Joanne can evolve and not stay as crop tops, booty short, cowboy hat, and Pony tails.

You all had no problem accepting Raver Girl as ARTPOP fashion when she darn well would’ve never walked out in that during her Applause promo era. :gaycat:

Yawn

those "evolve" bs again

she is worse than she was as an artist

Gagadonna

Joanne is an autobiographic album. The tour being called Joanne actually makes sense. But I get your point... "My name is Lady Gaga Tour" or something could have fit better maybe :hor:

Plus I feel like there is a play on words with "Joanne". "JWT" is often mistaken for "John Wayne's Tour", and even "Joanne" and "John Wayne" sound very similar. With this pun, there is a sort of bipolarity in Joanne album that is also present in Gaga's career: the country/jazz/ballad singer, and the pop/rock star. That being said, Joanne as the name for her career tribute tour seems relevant enough for me :hor:

okay that was such a reach

She sings seventy five per cent of her songs off the standard album. That's more than "a few".

2. We can hardly count Bloody Mary and Scheiße as her greatest hits

Did anybody notice that she didnt put Ball in the title, which she always does in her titles.

The Fame Ball

The Monster Ball

The Born This Way Ball

ArtRave:The ARTPOP Ball Tour

The Cheek To Cheek Tour was a different kind of tour, with only collaborated and slower/Jazzy songs with no choreography whatsoever,so that was an exception.

*The Joanne World Tour,or as I would call it*

The Joanne Ball Tour
