I was never really interested in manga and anime series but I recently watched Death Note and I loved it so much ! It quickly became one of my favorite series. I'm reading it now. I would take some recommendation. I'm not into fantasy or sci-fi things usually, it has to be in a realistic universe, or at most have one "magical" element (Death Note does it very well).

I love a lot of anime movies, are all Japanese animated movies considered as anime ? If so, well I love Miyazaki's movies of course, a lot of other Ghibli movies too. I love Satoshi Kon's work too.

This is gonna be sorta random, but it's considered anime for the most part. I remember watching this movie about a group of teens who try solving this mystery about their classmate that's gone missing, while the government basically tells them that she never existed. The students all haven't met each other in person, just online hence the whole missing girl cover up. 

It turns out that the case sort of brings to light about this government official being a cannibal. Like it's a really vague description, but does anyone know this disturbing movie that I'm talking about? I remember watching it when I was younger thru cable on demand services and it's just been bugging me
