Trump and Putin are worse by horse miles of course, but that doesn't necessarily make Merkel good. In my opinion a good leader doesn't have anything against LGBT rights, because he or she realizes that LGBT rights are human rights and I can't say that about Merkel even if she "allowed" the parliament to vote.
