42% who are against it / support trans discrimination though. That figure is worrying.

Only 58?

42% against is still A LOT, You're basically saying that like 126,000,000 americans can not stand trans people

This number is surprisingly higher than expected. :/ What, trans people can die defending the country but not use their preffered bathroom? :what: Lame.

"Before he[Trump] tweeted that[Trans ban], I bet most people didn't even know or think about the trans service members."

There's probably an undecided option as well. So it doesn't mean 42% are against.

Around 30%-42% Americans dont want trans people in the armed forced. Thats ironic considering those hundreds and thousands of trans men who have served or died while serving, were protecting these ungrateful people.

It's not surprising, trans is not really something easy or digestible to understand

That's too low :wtf:

I've seen a lot of arguments on FB today about how "well, Transgenderism is a mental disease/disorder, but you can't be in the military if you have to take constant medication for ___, ___, ___, etc. so why are we acting like Trans people should be an exception? Trans people need hormones and surgery to properly function and the military's purpose is WAR/protecting our freedoms (:gum:) so it shouldn't be weighed down by ANY kind of individual interference, since its about a collective" and its just so :saladga:

Wanna know what the percent of people who would've supported it 5 years ago would have been?  Probably only around 30%.  We're making progress.  Yes we have a lot of work to do, but don't forget how far we've come in such a quick time.

How do we even know we can trust these percentages? I don't remember anyone asking me my opinion on this questions. It seems like a pretty assumed number.

civilians are going to have civilian opinions.

i would like to see a poll of people currently serving in our military about how they feel serving with trans individuals.

honestly, we have trans people in our military right now and were still killing as efficiently as we ever have :emma: i dont see the issue but i'd like to see our soldier's opinions. if the military is overwhelmingly disapproving of it then maybe you would want to keep the ban not only for the efficiency of the military and saving a few bucks, but for the trans soldiers' safety as well.

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

I think at least some of those 126M may not necessairily hate trans but maybe buy arguments such as what Trump said about higher costs or disruption
