SISTERV 3,887
If I sued every man that groped me at the club I'd be a ****ing billionaire. Let it go. This is clearly Taylor trying to cash in on "rape culture".

SISTERV 3,887
Sorry, but as a real victim that was penetrated and told to shut up about it from the ages of 3-7 I really don't feel sorry for someone who got their ass groped. It's insulting to what I went through that she's gonna ink in a few million and widespan sympathy over THIS but real victims get ignored. Taylor Swift is such a snake, yet again. She felt that the man touched her body in a sexual way, she didn't sue him for that but he lost his job and he's suing her and now all the evidence is ''accidentally' gone

Sexual harrassment is illegal. Crimes and misdemeanors get settled in front of a court. What she supposed to do then? Pretend like nothing happened and wait until he inserts his full fist into her vaj? Like I can't f*cking stand her but I don't get what's so outrageous about this? It just seems melodramatic after he literally just touched her ass. I'm not at all saying it wasn't terrible that he assaulted her, but a trial seems over the top. If he raped her or continually abused her then I'd understand more
Hades 27,980
If i was her i would just kick his ass and send the pig to hospital tbh. The trial thing is kinda over the top.

And yes....a man lost his job because he groped somebody (which still has not been proven). I mean....should everyone just start accusing people of sexual assault? Is that how you make money nowadays? That's ****ing what's sick. And the only reason she's been hiding in a suitcase (another unproven fact, that's speculation) is because she got exposed last year and went into hiding. Clearly the man brought a lawsuit against her because she was lying on him. The case WREAKS of it. Yes....sometimes people make up being raped. Anyone who has ACTUALLY dealt with this knows the perpetrator always wants things to stay quiet. Why would he blow it up and bring mass attention to it himself if he knew he was guilty, especially in this social climate? This sounds like another bullshit move of Taylor's to appear relevant. And she's lied on a guy before and has **** on at least 20 guys before. She even made a video where she simulates using guns and violence against another girl over a background dancer argument. Taylor Swift is crazy and manipulative. It's right in front of everyone's eyes!

StrawberryBlond 14,899
I really hope she wins this. I may not like her or her music but stuff like this unites all women and unites us all as people. No one should have to endure being touched without their consent. Women are socialised to be quiet about this stuff so when a big name wants to send the message that it's not acceptable, it might help more women speak up. Only good things can come from this even if it had such a bad beginning. 51 minutes ago, theahsfan said: Is that it? Trashy, unacceptable behaviour but why put him on trial for that? 33 minutes ago, theahsfan said: I'm not saying sexual harassment is a joke and think it was totally unacceptable. If it was a serial thing then I'd agree more I know you ultimately mean well but I really think you underestimate this problem. The statistics on this kind of behaviour against women would shock you. For some women, it leaves them feel shaken, dirty, frightened. For some of them, it reminds them of sexual abuse, for others, it's another low point in their already bad day. Some women have had to deal with a lifetime of being groped to the point where they think it's normal. That's the most dangerous thing. We become socialised into thinking it's ok to be touched without your consent. It doesn't matter if he's only done it once - chances are, if he's so cavalier about it, he's done it to other women too. If he's only done it once to each woman, by your logic, he shouldn't be tried even though he's a serial offender. And it doesn't matter how well you know the person. Unsolicited touching is not ok and you have to nip it in the bud before it happens again or it happens to others. We should be putting these people in trial. If we take it that far, they might stop doing it. In the UK, sexual assault (groping included) can result in a maximum ten year jail term. Yet, so many women don't feel like it's worth it to report or they won't be taken seriously. 29 minutes ago, Maleficent said: While we clearly share an unpopular opinion, I agree with you; going through with this trial may cause more pain and harm for her. What? So no victim of any crime should report someone because the whole thing might be traumatic? What kind of logic is that? Justice shouldn't be served because it might cause the delicate little flower victim some emotional distress? If that was the case, we wouldn't be able to leave our homes for the numbers of criminals going about. Feelings don't matter when it comes to stuff like this. Justice must be served at any means necessary. 1 minute ago, SISTERV said: Sorry, but as a real victim that was penetrated and told to shut up about it from the ages of 3-7 I really don't feel sorry for someone who got their ass groped. I'm so sorry to hear that you've gone through that but please understand that any kind of sexual assault is a crime and getting away with the small offences is what makes the perpetrators think they can move on to the more serious assaults. And they do, often. As a rape victim yourself, you should be supporting anyone who's gone through any kind of sexual trauma, big or small and shouldn't be doubting their story. Like you endured, being told to shut up about it is the perpetrator's ultimate weapon. We can't make them stronger by remaining silent. We don't know if Taylor will even win. As you said, a lot of real victims get ignored. I know you don't like Taylor and I'm normally right here for your critiques but I think to say she's lying about sexual assault to make money without any evidence for it is a sign that you're just taking this a bit far now. At the end of the day, I support any woman in her quest for justice from any man who's done her wrong.
