Why do GaGa, Britney, Pink, Kylie & others make big money touring Australia with no issues but it's always a big deal for Madonna and her troupe? Makes no sense to me whatsoever. I read the venues were already booked. I feel bad for the Australian fans to be snubbed 3 times in a row and given empty promises yet again. LAME.

It's ridiculous. She once said that it was because Australia didn't have venues big enough for her stages.  And Bulgaria does? A damn mess! Why is she SO against it?

It's not about the cost either. She could have easily sold multiple stadium dates rain or shine. It's been 20 years.

The real reason is, obviously, her kids. They'll be back in school and can't go on the road with her. OH WELL MADGE. Say bye bye kiddies mommy gonna see you in a month, and get a ****ing skype like every other parent does when they have to leave on business for a minute. NEXT!

Or maybe she should have started the tour in Australia.

Doubt there be a crazy huge backlash... people will be hurt but the'll get over it

It's different this time, already it's begun. The Aus media is destroying her. Tomorrow it'll be worse. It wasn't just rumoured that Madonna was going to Australia, it was confirmed by Live Nation, her manager, everyone, and hyped to the max, "her first time in 20 years" etc. She would have sold swimmingly. Everyone fees betrayed. As one of her biggest fans here, Madonna is a **** for this.

Her next album will underperform there and if she finally goes, she won't sell nearly as much as she could/should have. I would foresee arenas, not stadiums.

Okay I haven't been too big on the whole MDNA era. And by "big" I mean I wasn't involved in any of the news and newly released things. I sorta went through the album without really caring for it. But I just recently started to become a huge Madonna fan and I was more focused on her older stuff. It wasn't till now that I decided to check out the MDNA videos.

First of all is Gimme All Your Love: Personally I thought the video looked pretty amazing. I thought the whole concept and the way it looked was pretty good. I was never big on that song and still am not. I think the verses are alright - but I think the chorus blows. Madonna look GREAT in the video - I think. Now about her guests....MIA looks SO EXCITED to be there...(*sarcasm*) and Nicki looks like she has a fake smile on. I think their involvement in the song/video was uncalled for. Could have been better without them

Girl Gone Wild: I know a few of you really like the song, and it sounds pretty good. What I dislike about the song is the chorus. It isn't as good as the rest of the song. The lyrics suck and the way Madonna sings them irks me. It could have been a better song with better lyrics, I think. They're too cliche. However the music video is pretty ****ing amazing. Idk how you guys feel about the video (haven't heard much) but I think the video ****ing rocked. Madonna looks amazing. Especially in those scenes by herself (her hair is more messy and she has less makeup on). I will also admit to the fact that the hot guys touching each other was a big plus for me... overall, loved the feel and the editing and cinematography of it. It just looked GOOD. Good editing. For some reason I noticed that while watching. It was really simple but it just looked GOOD. Madonna still rocks the videos - even if her songs are lackluster.

Now, Turn Up the Radio: I know many people say this is the among the lowest points on MDNA. I gotta admit, I don't hate the song. I think it sounds pretty neat. (and we all know Madge wouldn't appreciate me using that word). But it sounds very...boring. Like, it sounds as if it doesn't go anywhere. Do you know what I mean? Its like there's no ups or downs. No excitement in the song. Just a straight line. And that's kind of how the video went. It was kinda boring without anything too exciting. I thought it had a nice concept, but could have been executed more "fun" like. Madonna looks great - as usual. But this video is probably the "worst" of the three.

and there's my reviews. if it anyone cared to read.

Sorry but this is a ****y move. You might not be from Australia so maybe you've seen her live on one of the EIGHT out of nine (!!!) tours she hasn't come to Australia with, but what about Aussies who have stuck by her through the past 20 years when everyone easily could have just told her to get ****ed, and supported Gaga and Pink, who care about their Aussie fans?

No excuse. It's not that she's not coming, it's that she got everyone's hopes up AGAIN. It cannot be defended. Madonna probably knows this.

Wonder if she'll make a statement.

Mister G

Guys! Just got back from the MDNA concert at London! It was ****ing amazing! I won a Golden Triangle ticket and stood 2nd row! Makes the overnight camping and the 34-year-old-mother puking over my things after drinking too much vodka worth it!

Some random notes:

- She didn't show any naked during Human Nature.

- Gang Bang's bass is AMAZING. Like everytime she 'shoots' your whole body shakes from the bass, and the blood on the screens omg.

- With Like a Virgin, she lay down with her face flat on the floor and the mic near her mouth (not holding it). It was very sad and powerful.

- Candy Shop/Erotica really is a tour highlight, it's super s-xy and fun.

- I dislike Turn Up The Radio but the crowd went WILD so I loved it!

- Personal note: I broke down in tears during Masterpiece and she motioned tears on her face with one hand when she saw it <3

- Personal note 2: I was the only one in the Golden Triangle clapping to Turn Up The Radio at one point, and she pointed and me and I thought she yelled 'stop clapping!!!' so I was like WTF?! But apparently she said 'don't stop clapping!' hahaha.

That's fantastic. I'm so happy for you that you got to see the show and had an amazing time.

I'm just curious and I'm not sure if someone else brought it up; does she still do that crazy mashup of Express Yourself & Born This Way followed by She's Not Me??

I hear you man. This is RIDICULOUS. Don't let people tell you it's nothing or "you'll get over it." Perhaps they'd feel differently if they hadn't got to see Madonna in almost 20 years with false promise after false promise.

This era really has turned me off to Madonna in many ways. I'll always be a fan at heart, but the album, her general attitude, her videos, her promotion (or lack thereof), has all been less than spectacular. I just watched the Turn Up The Radio video and my feelings on that pretty much sum up my feelings on the whole era (minus the tour, cause admittedly that does look amazing): lazy.

I'm always hopeful for the next album/tour. I really want another deep and kickass album like Confessions.

Maybe all hope is not lost. I mean there is a possibility of a second leg of the tour next year like S&S? It's still too early to tell maybe more countries will be added later but that won't be announced for a while yet. Wasn't there rumors of Asia & South Africa along with Australia for next year?

Thanks, mattyh.

Of course I would forgive her. It's not like she's dead to me. Stuff comes up, I don't know her personal life, maybe something happened, or hey, an 87-date world tour is HARD WORK at 54 years old. She must be exhausted at times. I would for sure go if she came.

And I don't place the blame solely on her, I get that there's Interscope, Live Nation, her management, etc. to blame as well. I'm mad not because she isn't going. I'm mad because they PROMISED she was going. And everyone was so hyped.

The backlash is big. Aus radio stations are running polls whether to stop playing her music.

She hasn't been very successful here for a while now though, it's annoying that she cancelled cause I wanted to go but I don't think she'll lose too much for it except some people's respect. Radio never play her anyway.

What is the symbolism of pulling the corset so tight at the end?

The corset scene may have a row of interpretations that go with several previous elements from the show.

In first place, she sings about love. About finding new love that makes you feel "like a virgin." But love can also become a burden that trammels you in a corset of disappointment, rejection and lost feelings. Also note that she has taken her cloths off. In all her naked vulnerability she gives herself to a man that puts a corset around her body. Another way to look at this is that she not in charge of the situation. Love may get you high but it may also obfuscates your perception of reality. Eventually she finds herself in a lower position in which the man she loves controls her.

The scene gets even more interesting when you look back to the very first act of the show. Here, she liberated herself from the martyr role she is supposed to play as a woman in society. Not only did she leave back religion, she has gone through all extremes and eventually finds redemption. But now that - once again - she is trapped in a situation that delimits herself, it may become obvious that no matter how emancipated, self-assured or fearless she will be, she will always live under the reign of a man.

Keep in mind that Madonna explained the show to be sort of like a "labyrinth." One step taken forward and two steps taken back. There is a lot of symbolism used in the show. I hope this helps you. :)

I'm so happy for you! Glad you had a great time... gosh, this reminds me of my MDNA experience. :dies:

By the way, if Guy Ritchie really was in the audience, her performance of "I Don't Give a" must have been a really unpleasant situation for two very certain people...

She deserves to be FLAYED ALIVE by the media for cancelling Australia. And she will be.

The backlash will be immense. I doubt her next record performs well there and she deserves it. And who knows if anyone gives a **** when she IS finally arsed to go there?

I just DON'T get it. WHY is she SO against going down under?

I am really sorry for all the Australian fans. It's not only sad anymore. It's disgusting. A country that has supported her despite the 20-year abstinence is once again brutally ignored.

But maybe we shouldn't give up on hope! The EPK mentioned the tour would also visit Australia. Maybe an additional leg will be announced after the actual MDNA Tour has ended in South America. I really really hope so.

I'm so sad for the Aussie fans. :(

They've been so supportive, not to mention, a large part of them have travelled overseas just to see her in concert with the hope that just maybe the next tour will go down under and on top of that, it's been promised and hyped each and every time only to lead to more disappointment. They've shown their loyalty, so the least Madonna could do is shut the promoters up and insist that no word of a possible visit to Australia just in case plans don't fall through, hense leading to disappointment.

@daedgeofgloryyo, I'm so sorry for u. Don't let anyone tell u that you'll get over it, you've every right to feel how u feel. Those that get to still look forward to their seats to see her speak too quickly without empathizing with ones that are burned by this.

It's time Madonna realize that she's taken her fans for granted one too many times, in this case, the Australian fans. And I'm sick of her alienating of fans as well. I'm so put off with her this era. She's never been so smug in my eyes.

That's how I feel, u got a problem with it? :****this:
