I could swear i have those sounds... maybe just the drum loop... Anyway, i just knocked up my first draft of a song I'm working on about the decay of an icon, as i like the theme. i originally got a little lyric "She spent her welfare money on skyscaper heeled shoes" but it was too 'is it lady gaga when she crashes" so I went in a whole other direction. She has a sad look in her eyes like every daydream just died She came so far beyond what's real That there's nothing left for her to feel As her world falls down to the underground In her mind no sight no sound As her lights go out then there's no more doubt Her mind's going underground So she Mixed her champagne and her valium pills Nobody could save her but try as they will Pretending they loved and adored from the start But baring no burden for judgmental hearts She covers her face when she cries Life's not always easy when the dream fades and dies She wanted it all the press and the fame She fell in too deep with the most wicked game As her world falls down to the underground In her mind no sight no sound As her lights go out then there's no more doubt Her mind's going underground So she Mixed her champagne and her valium pills Nobody could save her but try as they will Pretending they loved and adored from the start But baring no burden for judgmental hearts It works better when you can hear the slow ass melody at the start and then the 'rum pum pum' that it goes into. Inspired by Gaga's quote "Champagne and valium.. the Judy Garland cocktail...". When I'm finished it probably won't contain most of these lines lol. I need a bridge and stuff, then I'm going to put the instrumental together and re-do the lyrics, because I don't like the word 'mind', it's a filler lyric, same goes for "as her lights go out" although it fits for a former superstar, I guess. It's outside of my comfort zone, i think it's the best i've sounded, and one of my best songs lyrically. It doesn't reflect the album's sound. It won't be on the album. It stands on it's own.
