Karl 3,435
Radio 1 is hardly playing Applause I find it so frustrating that only 2 radio stations pretty much control the charts in the UK, Radio 1 won't play her because she isnt 'cool' enough and Capital will either get behind her and see the hit potential or will drop her as soon as they see she isnt selling as well as we hoped. Uk music industry is screwed up to be honest

Karl 3,435
How is the situation in UK is it doing better than US? Similar, its got a lot of attention because it shot to #11 after 7 hours and now apparantly its due to debut in the top 5 on Sunday, its currently at #3 on iTunes, if it debuts at #3 it'll be on par with Born This Way. Sales are showing Ellie Goulding is outselling Avicii at #2 by two to 1 though.

Karl 3,435
Shes dropped to #4 She shouldnt drop any more now, Lana is #5 and she hasn't moved for a while, the rest of the top 10 are selling steadily. She'll probably debut at 4.

Magoo 6
So Applause sold 21.5K in 1.5 days i.e. around 14K/day. Burn sold 55K in 4 days i.e around 14K/day the same. But Applause's itunes figure only averaged about 65% of Burn's. So did Burn have a very high start on itunes, or is the missing 35% due to the album pre-orders - i.e. 14K sales of the single alone showing up on itunes and 7.5K album pre-orders at the price of the single?
