Sexxx 5,649
Metro were offering 200 tickets to Gaga's iTunes gig yesterday, and I missed it.
StrawberryBlond 14,938
Could just about cry right now. Why, UK, just why are you supporting two songs that already went #1 over brand new music? Our charts are getting more and more like the US ones by the day. This song is one of Gaga's most mainstream, so why aren't people accepting it? I never thought I'd see the day where Miley would be doing better in the charts than Gaga. Maybe this is karma on account of me laughing at Bruno Mars, Jessie J and 1D failing to go to #1 with their lead singles. Now Gaga could potentially do much worse. Can radio really not play her song right now because it was released too early? Is that the glue that's holding everything together? Why did Gaga and her team have to be so over-dramatic and go for a rush release and screw everything up? She should have just let anticipation build and started the era properly. Plenty of songs take over a month to release in the UK and most of them go to #1. 2013 was supposed to be her year and it's rapidly going down the plughole now. Gaga needs to stop making so many mistakes and focusing too much on how on the US charts work. She should be working on getting a #1 in countries where new music is consumed like air. Smithy 2,459
So dramatic, it's not going to storm the charts if it's got bad airplay and no video Radio One will start playing it on monday, the same day the video is released and capitol are playing it quite a bit as it is If it's getting consecutive red updates this time next week, then y'all can have a melt down
Sexxx 5,649
The UK is a sucker for a good video. Blurred Lines would have been nothing without it

glitterintheair 2
The UK is a sucker for a good video. Blurred Lines would have been nothing without it actually i think what set of blurred lines was the performance on graham norton. i remember them selling a stupid amount that weekend and didn't they surpass their first week sales because of it? seee..... i knew gaga should have waited till sunday. yes it's long but now most of the hardcore fans have bought it, it will be embarrassing if it tumbles down the chart next week. it's on YouTube already. twice. will an actual music video really make that much difference? i think what will make the difference in the end is the radio support, not the music video. who actually watches music videos on tv anymore? it would be different if she hadn't put an audio and lyric video out already. a lot of people think that the lyric video IS the video

Americano 31,061
I think she'll go later this year in like November. They book performers really far in advance.

She may have all this promo planned soon but there's always new music being released that can easily take her spot that she's worked so hard to build. The UK chart is the only one I'm concerned about, though. When does the new season of X Factor air? Gaga will perform there. It begins sometime in late August and whenever she performs on the show, she always performs in November, which is perfect, as it'll be the perfect promotion for her second single and she'll probably perform on the day before her album is released which could mean another UK #1 album is guaranteed. I just hope she doesn't perform on the same day as One Direction like what happened in 2011 because she'd have no chance against them. I must say, one of the big upsides to her having a November release is that the second single, and by extension, the album, will have amazing promotion and get off to a flying start due to the show. It's this same strategy that is partly responsible for Rihanna being such a hit in the UK. I don't know what she'd do without the show to promote her every year.
