Harry 26,836
Yes it did reach #1 first day and had a ridiculous lead, I don't know how long it took but it was quicker than this (obviously lol) So happy to see it finally up so high though! This is great!
LilJackoMonster 0
Last year if you'd told me that Lady Gaga was in a chart battle with Miley Cyrus I would've laughed my ass off. But here we are. To be honest, I hate pretty much every song in our chart. I think Avicii's songs are alright. But Ellie Goulding is just awful - her voice is so breathy and Burn is lyrically embarrassing. Did her and her producers have a bet at how many times they could repeat the word 'Burn'? Sorry if any of you are Ellie Goulding fans but in my eyes, Applause is clearly the strongest song in our top 10 currently. I think I'm going to take a break from the internet now and hopefully wake up to see Applause has risen.

Harry 26,836
it better hurry up. it's got until saturday  Radio 1 should playlist it tomorrow then hopefully play the **** out of it for the rest of the week. I wonder if it will sell enough to make the midweek top 40 show tomorrow afternoon, that would be decent exposure. Guess we will just have to rely on the banners and people liking what they hear in the preview!

Guess we will just have to rely on the banners and people liking what they hear in the preview! the lyric video too should give the song some more buzz, and with news of Gaga opening the iTunes Festival in London hitting local newspapers, it'll get more exposure. Also, if it reaches number one on iTunes, more people would choose to see what all the fuss is about lol

I would assume it will be in the next few days otherwise there's no point surely lol Hopefully the real video will have a big effect like her videos usually do in the UK
