Cherry 17
Bieber's prediction is lower than I would have expected. His fanbase isn't really as big as they seem to be.
sspearss 0
my god can't believe Britney actually released "Oops I Did It Again, The Best Of Britney Spears". What is wrong with the label? The tracklist is so ****ed up, random songs from her early albums :S Wonder if she knows that it exists lol, she didn't seem to know about the remix album she released. Ozzy8923 9
Fan bases seem HUGE on the internet because you see their stans everywhere. But in reality in only a few hundred thousand people. Even on tour, you only perform for a few hundred thousand people in the US.
Americano 31,061
Lady Gaga may have been the last artist to ever get a 1m+ debut in album history.
Cherry 17
Lady Gaga may have been the last artist to ever get a 1m+ debut in album history. I think Adele can do it. The public is dying for more of her music and I'm sure her label will have a huge rollout campaign for her next album. Ozzy8923 9
I don't think Adele would sell over 1 million opening week with her next album. I estimate around 500K or so but it's too early to tell and it depends on how well the lead single performs and how well she promotes her next record. I think that if Adele can sell 700K+ from the Grammys in her 53rd week that she will definitely top a million in week 1 with her new album. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she managed to get close to 2 million, like 1.5 million or something like that. She is an absolute sales beast and has proven everyone wrong time after time. Echo 326
Are you sure? We may have another power house artist.... maybe not when I get 20 or 30..... but I think someone will do it again. History repeat's itself. :creepflop:

You need a strong fan base to sell that quickly, that's what first week sales are always fueled by. Are you sure? We may have another power house artist.... maybe not when I get 20 or 30..... but I think someone will do it again. History repeat's itself. With each day it gets harder and harder to get a huge week like that. Piracy is only getting worse/album sales continue to trend negatively.
Arturo 40,746
No. She'll get around 600,000. Hm that seems too low. If Gaga has a smashing lead single I'm sure she can top that

Cherry 17
No way. You need a strong fan base to sell that quickly, that's what first week sales are always fueled by. You can't sell 10 million copies of your album and a million copies of your DVD with the majority of them only being casual fans. Adele may not have internet stans but she has a HUGE fanbase at this very moment in time. And Columbia will launch a huge campaign for her new album to make those casual fans aware, I promise you that. Norah sold a million with the followup to Come Away with Me and Adele is probably bigger than she was. Not to mention NJ did it without a hit single, which Adele is promised when she drops a new album. Hm that seems too low. If Gaga has a smashing lead single I'm sure she can top that 600K sounds just right to me. Maybe she can get a 7 in front of her first week total but no more than that. Bad 32
1 mil+ is very possible for Adele with a right promo campaign. Taylor Swift easily broke 1 mil with her follow up to her blockbuster album. 21 has eclipsed that by far.
