I hope this isn't a "Now, how would I/ we know" type of question but here I go...

Does anyone know why Katy Perry named her album "PRISM"? She went along with a "prism" theme at the Prismatic World Tour too!

I am just curious as to out of all the names, she choose Prism? I like it too. :) It's neat

Because if you let the light in you can shine in every color if you are a prism :unicorn: it's basically making the songs out of the emotions bad and good

It's probably related to her showing all of her colours to the universe, or something deep and meaningful like that :selena:

Because she wanted the world to pierce through the facade and see the real her, boobs and all. Oh wait, wasn't that Witness too? :oprah:

Letting the light in and wanting to give a nod to Pink Floyd's timeless and most known record.

It's a simple and refreshing concept.

'Cause a PRISM generates a rainbow, and the whole album is the biggest and best gay anthem ever.

btw Buy Witness on iTunes.

Light & physics. Katheryn Hudson being deep. I don't know what she was smoking back then but her shtick failed to retract through the album and come out as something different and beautiful - it was just the same dull thing that entered it. :giggle:

it wasn't laaaahv

I was thinking about this around the time Witness was released. All of her albums, besides Prism, feature the title track (and at least a title track) as the first song (One Of the Boys, Teenage Dream, Witness). She either needed to name the album Roar :toofunny: or make a track called Prism.
