It's real...To be frank I don't understand why people think it's not.

Gender is a social construct made up by society to put girls and boys into boxes. Those boxes change over time, but still, they're present. Genderfluidity is when a person doesn't conform into either gender and wants to defy conventional gender norms.

"Unisex" could have easily worked in this scenario. They want to use "Genderfluid" in order to garner people in because people will be like "Oh, that sounds interesting!"

What if they called it "Gay" or "Transgendered"? Just because more of the population is gay and/or transgender compared to genderfluid people doesn't make it any more right. Gay and transgender peoople still make up a low amount of the population.

I think that's different though. Gay is actually a thing because it is intrinsically different than straight. 

Technically, all people are gender fluid. Which is why I don't undestand why it is even a thing. There is not one person on the planet who completely identifies with male or female. Plus that's so ironically contextual and ironically sexist because in order for the idea of gender fluidity to exist it requires that there are set things that belong to males and belong to females on two opposing polar sides. I don't agree with that....I think anything can belong to anyone. So I don't think identifying is necessary, and I certainly think it doesn't matter. Infact, if there is any genuine thing to it, it mostly went unnoticed, and by cartoonizing in mass media I think it actually hurts people who want to break down stereotypes.

Why does there need to be a thing called, "gender fluid"? Just like what you like as a human. It doesn't need a label or a movement.

hermaphrodite is for plants, not people. people born with parts of different sexes (not genders) are called intersex, and are actually more common than gingers.

I honestly don't know why people need to label themselves as this. It really doesn't matter. Wear what you want, like what you like, think how you want. If deep down inside you feel like 25% of yourself's soul is a female even though your sex is male....great. Hats off. Have a picnic. 

But to bash and burn the most respected fashion magazine for having a floomsy error and describe the magazine (that clearly had good intentions) as ignorant and prejudice is completely ridiculous. SJWs need to calm the **** down and go on a mission trip to Africa where kids are dying of AIDS and ask them how much they value their "gender fluidity."

So true. So much identity terms these days that are new. I cant. The older I get the less in touch I am with new things. I didnt know what cisgender was til like a few weeks ago.

Sometimes I think people just need to make up new things to feel like they are part of something bigger than themselves. It's about as practical as Katy Perry's "purposeful pop": wrapped in a package of self importance and awareness, full of more meaningless piles of blank paper with no real depth.

this argument is tired, and a bit racist. there are kids dying of AIDS in Europe and America too. just because someone chooses to speak on something doesn't mean they're ignoring every other issue in the world.

what you're trying to do is take away the identity of some people because you feel like they have no need to proclaim themselves as such. pretty much similar to the whole "i get it, you're gay, just don't put it on my face" argument.

I get what you mean, and in some aspects I agree with you. However, it's not so much that "a, b, and c" belong to boys and "x, y, and z" belong to girls, but really it's how people identify themselves.

For me personally, I do fall under the genderfluid spectrum. An example is that I personally don't care what pronouns you use for me: he, she, they, whatever, as long as I know what you mean, I'm fine. I know, that may seem like a trivial thing, but to someone who identifies as a man, then they'd use the pronoun "he", and for a female, "she". It's not like they're interchangeable because, gender plays a bigger role in society than we think it does. 

I get what you're saying because not everyone does 100% belong to each "gender", but the concept of genderfluidity, in my opinion, comes from a general consensus as to what gender is and how it defies each and every one of us. Because, you can identify as a man or a woman doesn't mean that you can't fall somewhere in between.

To that last point though, you could say that about the LGBTQ+ community. We're just "human", so why do we need a community?
