It's my opinion, not sure what's so edgy about it?

Well, I have no interest in having a conversation with All Lives Matter "people". Yikes.

I'm black. I don't need your opinion on this subject. Do you.

I think hearing everyones opinions & thoughts is a good thing, even if yourself don't agree with it, but if it's more comfortable living in your own bubble then do you, I guess :)

Four years ago when the movement started I really supported their ideas and the movement itself. The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy and I stood behind this movement to point out police brutality and racial injustice.
I still believe in these ideas today but I do not believe in BLM anymore. They may say they're still about these ideals but their actions speak for themselves. What started out as a great movement for justice and peace has become trash that does nothing else than divide people. The riots, the violence and the spreading of hate is just wrong. Things like interrupting the vigil for the victims of the Orlando shooting or beating up random white people just because they are white is disgusting. It's really sad that this movement has gone downhill so bad.
I will forever stand for equal rights and a better life for everyone, but I will never support groups as hateful and divisive as Black Lives Matter!

It's done good at bringing some issues into the mainstream.

But for certain blind whites and other non-blacks who don't think these issues are real it's "worsened" relations because they refuse to ever talk about them and live in a bubble. Especially the #AllLivesMatter folks who don't seem to understand what BLM even is.

The truth. Don't quote me.

As for effectiveness, some of the people in the group are extremists and sound ridiculous but the fundamental belief that BLACK LIVES MATTER is very important and progress should continue to be made possible.
