I just checked and it's still around, this year's event will be held in November.

It is. Despacito uses so many recycled drum beats...it literally sounds like countless other songs. If we're going to make a Spanish-language song go number one, pick Jennifer, J Balvin, or Maluma please.

Okay listen to me:

1. The biggest songs in spanish are La Macarena, Asereje and Despacito, deal with it.

2. Bailando, Gasolina, etc... Where also huge but not like the previous ones.

3. I've heard people saying that the asereje chorus is in spanish  like they are literally random sounds.

4. La Isla bonita, Christina's songs, etc... Where not spanish songs, la isla bonita has one sentence in spanish, and those artists aren't from latin america or spain. If you want a pop girl that's huge with spanish songs, that's Shakira, not Madonna or Xtina

5. I'm gonna report the next person who says ''Despacito'' is a Justin Bieber song
