WTF it was literally EVERYWHERE when it came out. The Number of times teachers made us perform the song at school events is alarming tbh

The first two are very similar in that they're silly songs with unique dances, whereas Despacito is just a regular pop song. I actually expected this for the 2000s:

I guess it has to do with only reaching 54 in the US  it seems like a cute song, but yea.. I don't think it was very big here.
