The murder rate per 100,000 inhabitants is over two times higher in CR. (Comparing the 2015 years) You are more likely to be murdered in the country you are living in now.

News coverage doesn't make a country more dangerous and lack of news coverage doesn't make a country more safe.

What I meant is that the fact the I see the coverage on tv, it's really effecting me psychologically, it's raising my fear and I can't control it.

but anyway, tbh if now I get the ok to live in the US I'll jump on the first flight.. so don't get too much into my stupid thoughts and fears.. I was scared to live in CR and I'm here..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

It's just idk I guess the fact that it's all over the news when it happens in the US and when it's so common to be in places like schools, universities and other public places and in big numbers is just makes it more scary..

But in general, I always saw the US as a goal country to live there, I'm really living the US culture everyday and feel more connected to it..

Media, especially American media, is extremely sensationalized so :deadbanana: If you turn on the news, odds are you won't hear a single positive happening. Don't let it scare you

Fake news like CNN and MSNBC and the NYT makes it more dangerous by undermining our great President. Thank goodness he took over for that Arab atheist Muslim Satanist guy from Kenya. Obummer just had too many scandals under his belt and the libtard fake news is creating a witch hunt to take down TRUMP but we wont let them #MAGA #woke #KeepThemOut #BuildThatWall

Spoiler

Sorry, just pretending to be an ever shrinking minority population of Trump supporters :giggle:

I know that, I'm just really scared of violence and guns and I feel that in the US is really too much... this is one of the reasons why I preferred to be in the military jail for 6 months and not to serve at the Israeli military (+I'm against the conflict)

I am not American but I live in America part time, and its really unfair and ignorant of you to generalize 350 Million people like that! Lazy people are everywhere.

Sure, but not as lazy.

im not one either but I live here. I spent half of my life here. I studied. I worked. I've seen all types of people. I'm not afraid to generalize

I’m getting on your nerves

There are people as lazy as Americans anywhere in the world. There isn't something in the DNA of Americans that make them lazy. I've seen lazy rich people, lazy people who live in poverty. Don't generalize.

People are so afraid to generalize that the truth can never be found, but that's okay. It's not my problem.

Anyway, yes there are people as lazy as them found outside America but there are plenty more found in America. A lot of them don't even value education.

Maybe because the population is higher in America than most counties? Just a thought....more people = more lazy people.

I can't think of any generalization that is true or kind. All gays are sluts? All blacks are thugs? All Muslims are terrorists? Yeah...generalizing isn't good

No, I'm talking in general of course. I've also taken certain things into consideration whether they're: comfortably living, rich from their parents, wages as opposed to other countries, etc

what you dont understand is that I've never used the word, "all" Saying all Americans are lazy is far beyond generalizing. But you can't deny there are  plenty more lazy people here as opposed to another country

Also, everyone's a slut if they let themselves be :hor:

Th is insanity. No immigrants and less money for education. Has this been the Republican plan all this time because Lord knows all this orange man knows how to do is put his signature on a paper that he hasn't read or does't fully understand.

Can we start leaving out Trumps name on policy threads and just call them what they are REPUBLICAN POLICIES.

Yes.

The Republicans are getting to push some key legislation and policy they've always wanted - using Trump as a scapegoat.

Meanwhile, Russia is benefitting from Trump's presidency because they elected an unhinged, unintelligent man whos interests are his own, not America's.

So Trump's ****ing up America's positions in the entire world, while Republicans are ****ing up America itself :madge:

eh I'm a walking jinx, everywhere I go something happens next to me..:neyde:

Yeah but CR is a small country, so the rate is higher but the number is low compare to the US.. 560 to 15k.... and the police now is everywhere to bring back the order, in 2016 the homicide crimes were higher than previous years..

And I'm like ran from rockets in Israel too, I survived this country!!

It's just idk I guess the fact that it's all over the news when it happens in the US and when it's so common to be in places like schools, universities and other public places and in big numbers is just makes it more scary..

Then don't move to a shitty city in California. The last time someone was murdered in my city was in the 80s, and technically it wasn't even a city then. Just move to any suburban area. Most murders here are gang related and happen close to the Mexican border :laughga:

If only Trump would understand this and take statistics into consideration, when he's talking about how France is out of control and how Germany is a mess when it comes to security. And how people believe him and are unsure if they are safe to visit some places in Europe... :madge:

Not directed at you, just your post taken as a starting point for my thoughts on this.

makes sense to accept those with advanced degrees and money than the poor who are likely to come to america where they will remain poor and possibly be a drain on tax dollars and the economy. immigration is already down and continuing to go down tho so its like an acceleration of the inevitable shift in immigration out of the US

with the way people on this website **** on america i'm surprised anyone wants to still come here :poot:

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

Just stay out of certain areas and don't join a gang and you'll be fine. Lol

Like I've stated in this World News section before, I live in one of the "most dangerous cities in the US" and I've never seen a gun (except on a cop's hip) or been a victim of any kind of crime...even a minor one. Just stay away from crime infested areas and you'll be fine!
