The Lana inspiration is clear, especially when the first verse properly starts. She's taken a lot from her way of singing, her type of lyrics and her urban elements. I don't know if this style really suits Selena. So many female artists are using these kind of beats now with that 'urban autotune' and it's a bit hit and miss. And what's up with Gucci Mane being on another song with a 20-something girl when he's 37? It was creepy enough when he did it for 5th Harmony, but at least they looked like grown women. Selena looking much younger than she is (I mean, she did play the role of a schoolgirl very convincingly in her last video, something that I'm surprised her label thought was a good idea) makes this a very eyebrow-raising feature. I don't think we'll ever have a time when a woman approaching her 40's is the featured verse on a 20-something man's single. You know, because that would be weird.
