socotra 3,357 Posted July 13, 2017 Share Posted July 13, 2017 While I don't necessarily think prior political experience is necessary to run for office (I think there are plenty of extremely qualified individuals who would be able to be successful senators/governors/presidents/etc. without experience in politics), I think it is necessary to have experience in leadership, and this guy clearly has none. Also Republicans are always trashing celebrities and Hollywood for their political opinions, but they are the ones who keep electing actors and entertainers into office. The problem with republicans, like someone on this thread has already done, is that they would support him. He'll get time on Fox News to share his POV and with their intense brainwashing techniques they might get enough people to vote for him based on party and nothing on actual experience. Heck, he might even get elected. The Democratic party would not be as welcoming to someone like Kanye or Eminem. It just wouldn't happen. (However, the republicans would definitely get Eminem elected, sad.)
