What happened to Gaga?

As we are just a few weeks away from a new tour I was going through some old Gaga videos on youtube and it got me thinking...
The Monster Ball was amazing, the Born This Way Ball was even better, and then at the artrave it all started feeling different. Watching Coachella I couldn't "recognise" Gaga performing. (Don't get me wrong. It's just something was missing.) That spark in her eyes. That look she used to have. I keep on asking myself where did it go.
I don't care about the make up, I don't care about the cost of production, videos and so on. I understand she's got her own life and she is a human being. It just somehow felt like we were part of that life. And she was a part of ours. And it's no longer this way. Was it just an act?
Am I the only one that misses this person? The connection that Lady Gaga used to have with her fans, the way she used to speak and communicate. I don't miss the Number 1's, I don't care about the charts. I just miss that person. Do you guys feel the same way?

I feel like in her dive bar performances she had a lot of that spark you're talking about. She even did stage diving again lol

You all are such drama queens omg :air:

She's the same person, she has the same passion for music she had when she started her career

I think years ago she was just more excited about it all because it was still "fresh." It was something she wanted her whole life and once she got it she went full in. I'm sure she still loves it as much as she used to & I think the spark you're talking about was very visible during her Coachella performance.

Just my two cents.

That ''spark'' comes fom the bling, when she does great things (like the SBHS) she is the same girl than she was 5 years ago. And excuse me the Artrave was amazing,

Nothing? I mean, her team is completely full of yes-men and she doesn't seem to spark full potential lately, but...

The change started during BTW obviously. I don't think she ever recovered. I don't think she has the emotional strength for the industry. The drive is mostly gone. She doesn't enjoy the work, and would rather do anything other than be a pop star it seems.

The last time I saw that spark was during Perfect Illusion on Sukkiri and a little bit during The Edge of Glory at Coachella.

Well, she's still passionate about music but she simply lost her drive I guess. It's very easy to judge, I've been guilty of that too but we don't know what it's like to walk in her shoes

Y'all who are saying that she hasn't changed are nothing but delusional, sorry not sorry. You just are. She has been on the scene for almost 10 years and it is normal that she has changed. Are you the same person you were in 2007 or 2008? Of course that she has changed, she changed her priorities and POVs when it comes to some particular things. She's much more mature now and has a bunch of experience in this business so it's normal she's not the same. And are that changes good or bad? Which changes helped her and which not? We will never agree about it. I personally think some things are now better than before and some just aren't. But that's life.

Please do not lie to yourself, you know that is not true. Do not act as if everything was perfect as in 2010, inside of you, you know that what you write is a lie.

Here's to our brand new start, I won't be waiting for nothing. I'll mend the broken parts. Pick up the pieces,

In fact I hated Gaga when she was a crazy dumb b!tch. I started kinda liking her in 2015 when she was showing off her vocals on C2C tour and became a monster in 2016 after hearing Til It Happens To You. I was already a big fan in the pre-Joanne era. Also the new Gaga made me like the old Gaga too. She's just trying different genres, musical & artistic directions. I think I'm gonna LOVE JWT a lot. I just have the feeling that it's gonna be amazing. This era is not messy like ARTPOP and not over the top and crazy like TF-TFM-BTW. This is something in-between and I'm loving it!
