Did The Million Reasons Promo Pay Off?

i know it's a running joke that it's become MillionReasonsVEVO but i had to think. the promotion for MR was no where near the level of BTW. but it got Gaga another Top 5 Hit. is this the promotion she should stick to, doing 11 performances for one song? how many more performances could she have done to get a #1?

In the USA, yes. It stayed in the top 10 just for a week, but it had longevity and it didn't just death drop on the charts.

The rest, no :awkney:

She performed Marry the Night a lot too. It isn't a cake recipe.

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

MR's success is attributed to its Super Bowl performance, I doubt it would have peaked as high as it did without that, but its hard to guess how it would have done in terms of longevity on the charts without it. Maybe it could have done similarly but nobody can be sure

Yes it did pay off. The song sold 1M in the US and has gotten her some HAC radio support that will be valuable for the years to come since pop radio seems to not want to support her anymore.

Though it only stayed in the top 15 of the hot 100 for 1 week at least it looks good on paper lol. idk if she would of had another hit if she did not go ham on the promo like that. Gaga needs to do stuff like that if she ever wants to have hits so it worked.

Million Reasons had everything to be the next Rolling in the Deep, I will always love you, what went wrong? time will tell, or already did.

Tbh it paid off, at least in the US, because that's where she did most of the performances. I honestly think if she performed it in the biggest show and MR peaked at #4,  there's hardly anything she could've done to get a #1

I don't think it's a case of doing more performances to get higher on the charts, sometimes it's just not gonna happen and I think that's what it was with Million Reasons  I say that because Marry The Night had so many amazing performances but it still didn't do "that well"

But I totally think Gaga should go back to promoting her songs heavily because as a fan it makes the era enjoyable and makes the song have different special moments for different people :flutter: I mean a lot of what drew people into Gaga was her performance art and I think it's one of the strongest sides to her, so yeah I'm completely in favour of her doing many performances for each single :woot:

REALITY

I think it did pay off, but we got to thank the Super Bowl for a large chunk of that

It's a moderate hit, and people know the song, but it could have done better.

I think it paid off because a great song got heard, and some amazing vocals were heard by the general public.... definitely a great investment in the long run

but it peaked at #23, it's fascinating how both songs are empowering and relatable but MTN struck out. but the SBHS is the only reason it did so

I keep hearing everyone saying "It only had impact in the US" but honestly, here in my country it did grab people's attention, not massive, but everyone knew the song, is just that people enjoyed the song for themselves rather than being some overplayed hit, idk how to explain it. I believe it had a bit of impact in more places
