It's great when a musician get to show their full potential.

But you will never ever hear that line combined with a name of certain pop singer who is very famous here tho :poot:

And where's the proof?

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Not everyone is so into music like we are and simply just don't know. Not everyone is checking for Gaga, Kesha or whoever. Usually those who didnt know they could sing are outside the demographic so it's not suprising.

Also lbr the artist is rarely in full control of their own vocals either in the studio.

The charts always have trends, if you don't fit the trend of the season it's rare you will gain that chart impact but with streaming people are more exposed to music so 'good' artists are starting to get the impact they deserve, more than they would have done years ago anyway.

That's what Gaga has been doing since The Fame and people took 7 ****ing years to realize she has Whitney level vocals because of her Sound of Music tribute, invalid argument.

Nobody touches Whitney on her prime honey. No no no. But yes Gaga has some of the best vocals in the industry if not the top right now.

People are so simple, they see something as style or substance - unaware that the two can in fact coexist within a single entity, as it does beautifully in people like Gaga and Kesha. :diane:

Girl. You just explained ARTPOP better than Gaga ever did.

I dragged the Chainsmokers a while back for this.

We live in a world where someone could be writing the next Bohemian Rhapsody and acts like The Chainsmokers get huge.

It's devastating to anyone talented who watch these mediocre performers/musicians RULE the charts and the industry. To see that in the end all you need is a hot body and a grin to make the hits rather than pipes and writing ability.

Yes! :golfclap: Isn't this the truth?

It's because they are releasing music that specifically displays their voice. Just Dance, Bad Romance, Born This Way--these would sound worse if Gaga didn't have her pipes, but they aren't songs that are gonna make people say "wow, listen to that technique and range." It's easy to tell that Bey or Adele can sing because they have songs that show off their voices. Until the Sound of Music tribute, most people didn't realize she has such an amazing voice, because what made Gaga popular was not her voice. It was her costumes, her daring and innovative performances, etc. The pipes have always been there, but not as openly as they are in say, Million Reasons.

Been a long time but I'm back in town, and this time I'm not leaving without you
