The Surrealist 27,470
Why does every music critic think "screaming" in songs equals bad singing? I.e. "Perfect Illusion" or "Praying" It seems that people don't understand the concept of emotions. Songs don't have to be perfectly sung, it's about the emotions they transfer to the audience. "Screaming" is the best device to transfer rage and anger. This doesn't mean that the singer can't sing, it's done purposely. What do you think? JupiterDrive 2,788
Depends how u build up a scream If it happens out of nowhere and sounds like a squeak or a bear groan then forget about ur emotions

Sizzily 14,543
It depends on the scream. PI screaming wasn't great but it didn't ruin the song. Tears in the rain
Eurotrash 1,621
I agree with you. People just have terrible taste in music so they listen to Justin Bieber's pathetic attempts at music or that Jacob Paul...
androiduser 7,438
but on the other hand - artists often think that screaming equals emotions, so..... it's a vicious circle

Red 97,978
I think before people criticize people for screaming in music, they need to learn how to differ screaming from belting If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. JustaMonster 4,909
I like it when she does the growly screamy thing like in swine. Hands up to the sky, I'm about to fly!
DelusionalGaga 29,579
It's not only about emotions. It still has to sound pleasant in some way. If I wanted to hear anger/rage I could just listen to my parents screaming at each other. So it really depends on HOW you scream in a song.
Sirius094 2,248
the screamings in PI are unbereable tho, too loud and unnecessary. Praying is better. Pem Pem Perempem Pem Pem Pem
