Kesha - Praying

idk why people are saying it's very gaga when the song is something that would fit perfectly on a macklemore album. The video is very Kesha + Jonas Akerlund to me. I guess once I learned who wrote the song and directed the video I can only see those influences lol. It's very apparent.

Anyway I have had this on repeat all morning I can't stop

Oh my, that really was beautiful & it takes a lot to move me but that really did! The visuals were beautiful, her voice, the animals representing the causes close to her heart, her natural freckles and features were back :golfclap: It's so emotive.

Even if there are slight arguable references to Gaga, that's an awesome thing as they're friends & she's empowered.

I hope she gets the warm reception & no.1 she deserves.

I stumbled upon the audio first and almost cried listening to it. Then I found out there was a video and it actually got me there. This is so breathtaking

You can really see how much Gaga inspired her the past year or so, and I think kesha pays homage to TFM at one point in the MV:

She sounds amazing, and that high note burnt my scalp.

They both used an imaginary of the crying Mary. :smh: Gaga just got inspired by the same thing Kesha did.

You people get impressed by quite little, don't ya? It's a cute song and a cute video. That's about it.

Also is it really '' news '' to anyone that Kesha can sing? She's released a stripped back album/EP  before and it's quite evident there that she is a good singer.

This is her best video and probably her best song.

She doesn't need Dr. Luke and the lyrics say that well.

The song and video are powerful and clearly with a message. I can see some Gaga inspirations here and there but overall she did a very good job.

And she could sing tbh.

Indeed. And her voice...  if it didn't say Kesha, I would've thought it was somebody else singing.

It was in their segment 'repeat of niet' (repeat or not). The amount of likes compaired to the dislikes was never so high, so she got a huge amount of likes and almost no dislikes. They will spin it again later today. SO PROUD!!!

I've been listening to this song for the last couple of hours just soaking it in and I can honestly say it's one of the best (if not the best) tracks Kesha has released and I LOVE her first two albums. she took something that was so personal to her and made it into a song that a lot of people can relate to. beautiful song and video.
