I think it's hypocritical to want Katy to go back to her old

When in 2013 y'all tried to drag PRISM/Roar/all things Katy related during that time.

Now you say that PRISM is her best album and she should've stuck with that concept.

Whats with the flip of opinions? :toofunny::nails:

People are saying this?

They've just been hating her all-out.

Because people are afraid of her woke self. Her wokeness will lead the way to the future.

I like the new Katy... So messy but I lowkey live for it. Plus Witness has some bops.

She needs to old hair though. I HATE her ugly hair now.. she used to be so hot

I'm here for whatever she does, I don't really listen to her new stuff but ehhh every artist has the right to go in the direction they want to

Who thought Prism was her best album? Maybe you guys missed One of The Boys, and the original Teenage Dream version

It's not hypocritical, it's human nature, we are scared of new things and relying on nostalgia and when we don't like the new thing we start to appreciate even more the old.. there's nothing wrong with that...

It happens with every artists..

Like for me Madonna's last album was Confessions.. I want this Madonna.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I kinda agree, one if the biggest criticisms I saw during Prism was how it's just like her old music and she hasn't really experimented and now she does something different and people want her old stuff back. I don't like and of her albums in all honesty but but it's just an observation I've made

In my opinion "Witness" is a HUGE improvement compared to PRISM. I would have liked "Witness" a lot better without the homophobic "rappers" features.

Teenage Dream > Witness > PRISM > One of the Boys

I have never been a huge Katy fan. Liked some of first album, and after that her songs just didn't

appeal to me and her image/personality never grabbed me. But I am all for her Woke era. I have watched some of her current interviews and she does seem genuine with it... people evolve naturally, and I'm sure Katy has seen a lot. Don't be so quick to judge! The woman is just doing her thing!

You got it wrong, the people who wanted old Katy's pop sounds (Teenage Dream) are the same people who wanted Gaga's The Fame Monster sounds too lmao

So there are no hypocritical opinions actually lmao

It's common for people to appreciate albums more after the era is over, especially if it got a lot of hate when it was released (Example: ARTPOP)

True. I did give Witness an honest first listen and went through most of the songs. I actually wanted to really find a song I fell in love with, because Katy has me buying her wokeness. Her music, to me, falls flat, but others love it, so it is all a matter of preference. Perhaps Deja Vu'... but it just doesn't catch me.

The funny thing is, I love electronic music, especially 80s, but I feel modern day electronic music, at least top 40, sucks.
