They both have the same basic chord progression for the chorus (i-v-vi-iv), and both are similar in tone and aesthetic (70's Classic Rock, 80's pop, modern electro-dance). Clarence is the cherry on top of all of that.

I feel like Hair, Highway Unicorn (which was initially set to feature Clarence, too, right?), The Queen, and TEOG, we're all at least written around the same timeframe. Similar chord progressions (except The Queen, which is i-v-iv), similar tone and aesthetic, and very similar writing.

I know most of the album was written in the same timeframe, but I feel like those four were very close.

LEMONADE is an amazingly cohesive albums and literally no song sound like the other (it was nominated for Grammys in pop and rock categories, also DL is basically a country song)... :sweat:

Four of my favorite tracks off the album! Love them and your breakdown kinda helped me realize a little why. Thanks for this.
