She said it herself after voting :neyde::

"Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel (CDU) stimmte gegen die Ehe für alle, wie sie nach der Abstimmung im Bundestag sagte. Eine Ehe sei für sie laut Grundgesetz Mann und Frau vorbehalten."

"Chancellor Angela Merken voted against Gay marriage, as she said after voting in Parliament. Marriage is, as defined by the Constitution, between men and women".

I am extremely disappointed by her decision to vote against "gay marriage"!

She is such a cold-hearted strategic - I will never ever vote for her or her party (CDU)!

We only achieved "gay marriage" today, because Chancellor Merkel made on Monday a mistake (!) during the infamous interview by the magazine "Brigitte".

Sad, but true!

**** you, Merkel!

She's the leader of the Christian party and some of her views are a bit conservative

75 members of the CDU and CSU voted for "gay marriage", which equals ca. 25 % of all members of both fractions altogether.

But Chancellor Merkel didn't, which is extremely disappointing.

She said she is favor of gay adoption but against calling it "marriage". Basically she wants same rights, just with another name

She can **** off to be honest!

That's great news. Congrats to Germany. Since it's also a hot topic in the Austrian Parliament I hope our politicians will establish a law soon as well which legalizes gay marriage.

I think we are the only country which allowed child adoption for same sex couples before legalizing same sex marriage.

On my way to the Standesamt :derpga:

The gay pride next week in Cologne will be so good I guess

I think, the Cologne Pride will be extremely emotional this year - but also a huge celebration...

As someone who is German (from my mom's side) and gay, I am so unbelievably elated right now, on the verge of tears. My life has been so great recently and this is just adding to it. :nick:

Love you guys so much. :sara::flutter:
