The Cure MV - QUASI TREATMENT

Hey Munchkins .

I've had some ideas floating around in my head about what The Cure music video could possibly look like. Ever since Steven Klein hinted that his work with Gaga could possibly continue in the future, I couldn't help but think of The Cure having sets with the Fame perfume commercial aesthetic. So I spent today trying to create some cool visuals that I think could compliment the song quite well. You'll notice that I also took some inspiration from TC's lyric video. The black and white palette is basically the only one I used.  But there's something so sleek about those two colours together and I think Gaga could totally pull it off. A couple of other influences include the MTN and Bad Romance videos. I think it'll be apparent where their influences are present.

Without further ado, THE CURE MV - QUASI TREATMENT!

The scene starts with about 5 seconds of black. Then the title appears suddenly:

The video then cuts to a slow zoom in of Gaga sitting on a black, sterile medical table. She has straight, long, blonde hair and is in a mint hospital gown. She seems to be waiting for something. The camera keeps zooming but does not change position-it's always front facing until it gets to the position shown in the image below. Entering from the right is a nurse dressed in black. She has the same hair as Gaga, but jet black. She walks in heels with the straightest posture possible. She takes a seat in front of Gaga. 

In the same shot, the camera rotates to reveal that the nurse and Gaga are sitting directly opposite each other and facing one another intently and seriously.

It is revealed that the nurse is actually another Gaga. The nurse explains that BlondeGa's symptoms aren't promising and that she worries she might not have long to live. However, she tells BlondeGa that she herself has experienced the same symptoms before and miraculously survived as rare antibodies developed by lymph nodes in her neck were strong enough to destroy the disease. BlondeGa asks if there is anything that can be done in her case to which NurseGa replies: "There is no cure." Queue music! 

The nurse leaves hesitantly while BlondeGa lies down and sings the first verse. On the chorus, BlondeGa ferociously knocks out the chandelier and lamp. Before she can do any more damage, she collapses. 

The  scene cuts to NurseGa singing the second verse on a flight of impossible staircases. Throughout the second verse, NurseGa abruptly changes positions on the stairs. First she's on one staircase and then a second after she's upside down on another staircase etc.

She goes to check on BlondeGa once more and panicks once she sees she has collapsed. The scene cuts to the nurse running furiously through a long hallway pushing Blondega on a gurney as the second chorus is playing. She's crying as she's singing and running to the end of the hallway where the entrance to the emergency room is.

NurseGa barges through the emergency doors and doctors and surgeons take over. The nurse stands just outside the emergency doors as a doctor emerges and delivers bad news. BlondeGa may die as soon as that day and as there is no cure, all Blondega can do is wait on a bed until she passes. 

As the bridge begins, NurseGa has flashbacks to where she and BlondeGa were playing as children and begins to take a syringe to draw the blood from her lymph node where her antibodies were present. Doing so however, destroys her ability to survive the illness any longer. She creeps into the room where BlondeGa is resting and inserts the antibodies into her. As Blondega wakes up cured, NurseGa begins to disintegrate and a bright flash occurs. All the hospital beds then begin to erupt violently from their position on the floor.

The final chorus begins. In the final scene, NurseGa does choreo with all her dancers on the last set. Instead of a nurse outfit though, she is dressed in an ethereal body suit-picture Britney's Toxic or Gaga in the second chorus of BR. Since the beds were thrown violently by BlondeGa's awakening, the beds are on the roof as well as the floor

In the final line of the song, "I'll fix you with my love", Gaga reaches slowly toward the camera and the video cuts to black. The final text is presented:

@The witch Remember when I wrote in that "The Cure Alternate Cover Ideas?" thread my idea for the music video? This is what I had in mind!

I feel like I just wrote a fan fiction.  If you guys made it this far without skipping, thanks for your time! If you skipped anything, I don't blame you. 

I hope you guys liked the idea! It would be so cool to see Gaga actually releasing a video for TC and seeing how much it differs from my vision. Let me know if there is anything you guys would do anything differently! Feedback is welcome!  

I might also do more of these so called "QUASI TREATMENTS" in the future so stay tuned!
