anyways I predicted Katy to FLOP this era.

 

First off Katy is going to be 33 this year. Her image and pop music in general is center around youth and sex appeal. singing about Rainbows and trash bags is cute at 26 but not at 33. A lot of people don't see her as sexy or cool anymore. Now people see her as that washed up old pop star trying to cling to her youth. Kids don't relate to that.

 

Also there's Radio. Which was Katy biggest niche ( Up till now I think she was the biggest Artist on Pop radio)

Pop radio pretty much DROPS female pop artist once they turn 30.

Digital sales are pretty dead too which was another of Katy strong points.

Take away that and she's left with nothing. Though I am shocked that she's flopping on streaming when Teenage Dream and Prism  have 1 billion streams on Spotfiy and her music videos use to be huge on youtube.

 

It goes to show how Fickle her fanbases was. Once the Hits stopped coming, They stopped listening.

Also Katy music was made for the charts and NOT for longevity. I feel like she has no songs that can preform in 20 years. Imagine her being ****ing 40 and singing about "Teenage Dream" and Kissing Girls.
