Could Gaga succeed with an album like 25?

Gaga has repeatedly won over a large audience serving C2C, Oscars, MR etc.. vocal slayage.

Since she's continued 'toning down' her image with Joanne, do you think she could pull off an album that features her voice foremost, with only ethereal 25-style instrumentals?

I think it would solidify her 'legend status' and possibly make her one of the most widely loved celebrities of all time. People have LOVED her ballad realness in MR and she's delivered so many iconic vocal performances at this point, it just makes sense.

aaaand then she can release a full on disco album because I know that's what we all really want :trollga:

What do you guys think?

Would it smash like 25?

Would you enjoy a whole era of BalladGa?

I cried and felt more emotion in those 58 seconds than I could have with the overcrowded-instrumental-with-harsh-vocals version.

Would I love it? YES

Would it sell as many copies as 25? Nope

Yep that'd be a bit unrealistic to expect :sharon:

You never know though! Everyone thought million reasons was gonna flop

It did flop until SB came and saved it. Then, it became a hit.

Imagine how many more copies 25 would've sold if Adele performed at the SB instead of Gaga.

Honestly I feel like she should do a jazz solo album. I don't know that it would be a giant hit, but I'd enjoy it an it could get her some critical acclaim haha If she wants to sell a bunch of albums, she should do another duet album with Tony B but make it a Christmas album. It would slay the QVC crowd again.

I think she'll go back to jazz at some point, but I don't see her repeating something she just did already

Maybe some more rock flavor added to it. It's hard to tell though. The lead single would literally have to smash like Rolling in the Deep in order to gain GPs support. It could be a critical success as well.

However, I think Gaga still needs to brush up on her lyrics. She has some great songs, but with great highs come great lows. That would make the album suffer.

I don't care if it does well or not but she needs to do that. **** disco and pop, it's everything I ever wanted from Gaga. Joanne was a step in the right direction.

Yep she did. I think Adele could have easily sold a million more copies of 25. Then again, the album is still in the top 100 of the BB200 despite being released in 2015..... so she's doing just fine

Not really. NFL discussed with several artists. They were just in talks so technically she hadnt had the chance to turn it down. because no one offered her yet :selena:
