Irrelevant 20,282
No comment. But if iggy gets called out then why not Quavo and JB (whom she collaborated with) 광야로 걸어가 알아 네 home ground
Morphine Prince 106,127
Iggy was problematic at times but the girl got way too much hate from Twitter and Tumblr. WAY TOO MUCH. Halsey being fascinated at her career dissolving is very disappointing. It's not like Azealia Banks (who's music I love btw) who has actually said awful, indefensible things. Also, I didn't know Halsey was mixed.

If she did speak out she would've gotten hate because people would say she's speaking out only to help herself. But, at least in her heart, she would've been doing the right thing. At the end of the day, the effort would've mattered. I mean, you definitely can't please everyone, but that's beside the point - doing what is right is always more important than turning a blind eye, especially when you've made a career off the culture of those being gunned down in the country you're now calling home. ❤ x ❤

The double standard is real. ❤ x ❤

I understand but the hate she gets is ridiculous. There are tons of other artists who used hip hop and rap that never spoke out. Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus. Then who does she think she is when her old tweets don't mean something anymore but Iggy's do? At least she has the excuse of being a actual teen when she posted those. It's not like she was 30 and knew better. I do think it's interesting how if you call yourself a activist, anti-racist, or feminist, you come under much more scrutiny than if you hadn't said anything at all (or even said the contrary). I remember SJW-types shrugging at certain things that Gaga said/did that were construed as non-feminist because of that infamous Much Music interview where she said she wasn't a feminist. I was surprised at how she got off much easier than if she'd said she was a feminist at the time. I was listening to an interview with the writer Jon Ronson (So You've Been Publicly Shamed), and he mentioned how it's now coming to a point where it's easier to just not say anything at all. Anyway, as for Halsey's comments, it does come off as unnecessarily petty to say you enjoyed seeing a career end, but at the same time, POC owe Iggy nothing. Daredevil 2,133
imagine being so delusional, that you think Halsey is just as problematic, just because she had a collab with Quavo You had no reason to hate Halsey before but i guess you have now
Fish 6,123
Iggy is trash but the girl has had enough. People are pricks. Its not about defending what she said 4 years ago. Its about speaking the truth, but being kind. Stand for your values, but still be compassionate. Halsey is so wrong for having said that. She will have a taste of what Iggy went through. This is just too much. Its just free hate at this point. Its like hitting a man already on the ground. And tbh, she is no one at this point.
