There's a bigger chance that Camila Cabello becomes the best selling artist of all time than Taylor Swift winning a Tony

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Her type of country music storytelling lyrics can easily be plugged into a musical.

I just wanted to say that even tho CTTR did pretty good worldwide, it really really really underperformed in the US considering it got almost the same amount of promo and support as LWYMMD, its first 2 weeks. And if you think about it, SWSW is not doing that terrible, cause it's coming after a underperforming lead and it has also peaked higher than BA (the 2nd single) in the US :bon: By the way, BA wasn't a flop in most of Europe, it did better than in the US by faaaar, and radio liked to play it cause yeah it's Katy and the song is radio-friendly.

Anyway, my point is that CTTR was a bad lead choice, even tho the song is pretty good. Imo SWSW or Deja Vu would have done much better :lolly:

I think a lot of labels tend to release a lead which resembles the most the previous works of that artist to re-introduce that artist in the spotlight. Few people tend to make risks. Even for Gaga they released Perfect Illusion which almost doesn't belong to an album like Joanne and doesn't represent it, CTTR was probably the most new 'old' Katy song.

Just realized that there are just five more JWT shows until mine (6 if we count Rock In Rio) :rockstar:

It's at the end of the month but counting the shows, it seems really close
