Zed 1,922 Posted June 16, 2017 Share Posted June 16, 2017 Melodrama, there's not a single song on that album that I dislike, it has a very unique sound, Lorde's vocals are freaking amazing, the lyrics are so good. Everything about it is just so damn good. HFK by Halsey is decent, has some bops, but the whole record is rahter generic imo. Still living for Now or Never and Strangers though. Hopeless fountain kingdom is a fun album, it has bops, but lyrically it falls flat and her vocals are very... the same throughout? Still a major improvement from Badlands and one of the better pop albums of 2017 so far, but the lyricism, production, lyrics, and vocals of Melodrama are top tier. Hopeless fountain kingdom is good, and its Halsey, but Melodrama is very Lorde.
