Yeah, I agreed with the whole essay up until the final paragraph. Beyoncé is the kind of person that you never hear from unless she wants you to hear from her. It's either from a rare social media post or from a rare interview. Lady Gaga on the other hand is constantly under surveillance by her fanbase, and she knows it, so she regularly updates social media, regularly holds interviews, and regularly makes appearances in mainstream media regardless of the status of what she's currently working on. The way you phrased your comment before was just.....no. If there are parents that would ban their kids for such a thing as being a fan of a pop-star that's tragic....literaly, but bringing it up to make Beyoncé look superior was , even if you didn't mean it to come off that way. For the record outside the states being a fan of Beyoncé is considered much more "gay" than being a fan of Rihanna
lost in limbo 6,035
Altough I´m a stan, I admit she uses marketing a lot to become legendary like some said above, because even if her music is good (at least to me), Gaga is by far a better artist overall, with more creativity and pushes the artistic in pop music forward. But Gaga isn´t a marketing person (she was, before ARTPOP\BTW), she wants to make music, wear cowboy hats and be a artistic-bissexual-ivebeensingingjazzsinceiwas13-callmejoanne-kinda girl, and leave the promo plans and all those stuff to her label and management. Overall Gaga>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Beyonce But at the GP´s eyes Beyonce>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gaga this is the state of grace, this is the worthwhile fight

And it's not tragic for parents to ban their kids from watching Gaga since she's proven to be extremely controversial religious wise (swallowing a damn cross, singing about Judas)/and was very sexual in her videos. As for Riri, she started this "bad girl" era smoking weed etc so artists like Beyonce, in comparison, looked better + more 'appropriate' than her contemporaries. It's about branding. Stop the music, Start the drama.

gagaisitalian 3,573
'Cause she knows how to do everything right and she doesn't disappoint fans. Her perfectionism goes a long way when it comes to her music and shows.

SlaeUrAnus 15,955
People here don't give Beyonce the credit she deserves. Yeah she may be overexposed, but she is the definition of a professional and long standing entertainer. In my messy era.
LaLuna 12,732
She's not a queen to me. Don't get me wrong I think she's mad talented, but at the same time, I don't think she's this untouchable god everyone thinks she is. I don't know how she became this deity in people's eyes, but to me, the way she's trying so hard to be flawless and polished all the time makes her look fake and made me unstan her years ago. She's just not my cup of tea anymore. I like artists who are more real and aren't afraid to show they're not perfect.

Parents viewed Gaga as a rebel and not child friendly. Her performances used gay imagery and sometimes dark visuals as well. A lot of parents would not let their kids watch her stuff. Simple concept. Sis he/she said "ban" And the world "kids" is not only used for toddlers, somebody's kid or child can be of any age. And to ban a child for being a fan of a pop star is sad/

I don't think that's unreasonable. Gaga is weird cuz her message is perfect for kids, but she still does things that can be taken by some as too adult for children. But ya banning your child from being a fan of an artist is ****ed. I might not of been allowed to see TMB but my parents bought me all the albums posters and t shirts I want. I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.
