n0ne 13,105
We thought we were getting a funk and disco album from Gaga but that turned into Joanne. Then we thought Witness would be pretty disco influenced but it turned out to be more 80's dark and deep synthpop/house. After Laughter served us new wave and synthpop as well. So my question is what major artist or pop girl will finally serve us the disco revival album we've been waiting for? It seems a lot of artists will explore 80's synthpop, new wave, and funk, but no one's going fully into disco. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. RainingOnMe 7,280
LG5 was originally disco as we know, I Want Your Love is what she wanted the album to sound like. But then she decided to make the LG5 we got, essentially Joanne, from late 2015-summer 2016.

Plus knowing GGD's taste (mine included) we probably will only like some of the collabs on the album, I don't think Chic is our type tbh. But if a modern artist did a disco album and incorporated fresh sounds; we'd be all over it. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. AmericanGUY 4,609
i know paramore's recent album "after laughter" definitely touched upon disco themes. i guess we're all just gonna have to wait until THAT artist comes around to create the disco renaissance. ꧁ 𝕛'𝕧𝕖𝕦𝕩 𝕡𝕒𝕤 𝕞𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕚𝕣 𝕥𝕠𝕦𝕥𝕖 𝕤𝕖𝕦𝕝𝕖 ꧂
