Kermit 15,807
Try Izotope products. Easy to use when you know what you're working with. If the vocals need a bit of cleaning then there's Adobe Audition as well. “For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic. IWasBornThisWay 77
i mean i can process them for you. you can do it by yoself tho. Use melodyne for vocals to correct pitch and length of a note and make harmonies or background vocals. Tho i recommend you to record as many vocal takes as it's possible, trying different variations of singing, cuz you never know what's going to stand out the most and put the record on another level. Cut the bass from the vocals (80Hz-200Hz), add a little bit of 8-12Hz so they sound bright. Cut out breaths (if it's needed) before applying compressor or reverb/delay 29 minutes ago, DJ Chris said: ?? Usually i cut breaths and other unwanted sounds first. Then i cut low frequencies so vocals doesn't sound muddy and then apply compressor (4:1, depends on a style), later I bring high frequencies (if it's needed) just a little bit. And on top of it i apply reverb and delays and some kind of other effects (if it's needed again) NOTE: use different (not really) EQ and compressor and delay/reverb on different vocal takes (Lead Vocals, BGV, Ad-libs). For example, you can leave low frequencies on lead vocals and cut them out from BGV. And yeah, better cut than to add...
