It's kinda shitty that people make profit off of the LGBT+ community. It's especially shitty when they aren't members of that community themselves. I don't think this is really that defensible tbh. 

Mariah is donating to GLAAD, but she could be doing more. This is partly a move to help GLAAD, but also partly just to raise some money for herself or her team or whoever, so its not "really" that great. She doesnt deserve all the praise in the world for it or anything. If anything, we should ask more of allies.

That's not unrelated to the point at all.

Mariah is doing something for your community, you are not. There's gay men in concentration camps in Russia right now. You actually have it pretty easy compared to some people around the world. I'm assuming you are not from a country where you can be executed for your orientation? 

Again, you keep coming at me with attitude, but how do you know Mariah is making a profit? Please back that up? 

At least she is doing something, you are not. Being a part of the community doesn't mean you get to just sit around, do nothing, and dictate to others.

Read what I'm saying! Nowhere in the OP does it say that some of this money is going into Mariah's pocket. It just say a portion of the profit is being donated. The rest of the profits could be going to pay for other things. That doesn't mean its going to Mariah.

Even if it is. She's donating SOMETHING. You will happily sit there and admit you are doing NOTHING for your community. How does that help us advance at all?

Some should be thankful people DO support our community, considering the shade these days.   If you like it, wear it. If ya don't, do Pride elsewhere.  Nobody's begging her or you to do anything.
